get following error
401: Unauthorized
Unauthorized IP Address.
Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it.
If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries.
If you're still using ACLs, use a whitelist instead. See the transmission-daemon manpage for details.
"Settings file is located in .transmission/settings.json"
where do i find abovementioned directory? i dont see it from nmt browser, via nfs, via ftp...

I inserted my laptop ip in the host box, "nmt" in the user, 1234 as password and port 21 (automaticly appeared when i pushed quickconnect). And then apperars the message "Connected with 192...Waitng for welcome message" and then "Disconnect form server; Unable to connect".
The laptop and the nmt are connected by a ethernet cable...

first things first, you need to be able to view your NMT thru your computer via network places. Meaning you can access your files on your NMT from your computer. There's a few tutorials out there, i suggest you check the NMTwiki, you can find the link on top of the forum pages.
I had the same problem with interacting with my NMT with my computer because of all the network firewalls i had placed up to secure my network, you might have the same problem too.
Just as soon as you can access yout NMT thru your pc then just follow the past post i did and everything should work fine.

Before you go edit the file could you please post it here in the forums? Please record every change you make. I'm trying to make the installation more robuust. This is why I need valuable info like this.

I first installed the latest Torrentwatch. Then tried opening transmission. I got the above message. So, I tried to upgrade to 1.41, and am still getting the message. What do I need to do to get working ???

That file look okay. What hardware do you use?

Arg, yeah. My bad, wil fix this right away.
Please reinstall or rename that file to settings.json
I am wondering why you do not have a normal settings.json file. You have a popcorn hour which supposed to have alread a transmission installed!

Same problem here. Fixed renaming defaultsettings.json to settings.json

Is it a cross over cable? If not that's your problem.

I installed transmission 1.41 final and works fine. Thank you for your good job.
When i run top command at telnet i see really high CPU load, about 70~90%

I don't know how many CPU load should be ok or if previous versions have lower CPU load. ¿Is it normal?
EDIT: Now i see the client is checking the downloads, maybe the high CPU load is normal in this case. I will run top again when the client finish the check.

Hmm... I've installed the latest transmission and it works fine, altho i do have a bit of a problem. I dont know if its the same with everyone or its just me.
The problem is with connectivity and speed. I download quite a few torrents per day, anything from movies, tv series, and anime, so with the advent of the PCH and the transmission torrent download i was very happy since i can free up my pc to be shutdown now and have the PCH just download the torrents since it only uses a lot less electricity.
I did a side by side of the torrents i download on my pc and on the PCH, i noticed that transmission is a lot slower than the uTorrent i use on my PC. Its ok if it was slower, but its not actually connecting to a lot of the seeders. On the u torrent a secific file was connected to 15/30 seeders and is downloading at 40kB/s but on the PCH its only connecting to 1/7 seeders at an ave of 3kB/s. there are other files that dont even connect like 0/10 seeders and is not even downloading on the PCH.
My question is, are there other settings i need to do, ie firewall, port forwarding ect.. to get the speed up or is it really like this?
