figured that was the case, and I guessed from the way stuff like torrentwatch has options for '1.22' and 'not 1.22' that there was a big change under the hood! Thanks for the info, and as always, many thanks for putting the packages together!

After many, many (many !) tests, I think I have issues only with public trackers.
With private trackers, I don't have CPU usage issues.

Ger: When will you expect that the high CPU use will be resolved?
Can i contribute by testing? like logging CPU load when dl'ing, seeding or a combination of these? difference between seeds and peers?
Or should i just roll back to 1.42 and wait?

I created a gdb which can be used for debugging. Sadly I still am missing a file to make debugging of pthread applications possible. When I have more time I'll look into that some more. Thanks for the offer.

Has anyone done the same test? Every time I connect to Transmission the speed are around 450. But when I divide the amount downloaded by time I get speeds of 25!!!!
All my torrents have a ratio of 3 or gratear and I have 4mb download / 512kb upload connection!!!!
In 24 hours I barely download 1 Gig!!!! In my computer I do that in 1 hour.
Anyone Please?

In Transmission I took the downloaded stuff and divided by time and I get an average speed of 25 ks/s !!!!

@Rhapsody - version 1.51 onwards has some compatability fixes for IE6 and 7 built in, these are available as a patch on the transmission website and I'm reasonably happy with how it looks in IE6 now - worth a look.
For what its worth I've joined the club of CPU peggers...updated my firmware and of course that loses you btpd, so I've moved to the latest version of torrentwatch, and the latest transmission, and pointed TW to transmission when in the past I used BTPD...It was happy enough with a dozen seeding torrents from private trackers, but as soon as torrentwatch added three torrents from public trackers, with tens of thousands of peers, the whole thing ground to a halt - unresponsive and slow download speeds when I tried to check from work. Got home and did a quick 'top', and the daemon was pegging the cpu, and presumably had been all day- not good! Back on 1.42 and it seems happier for now....

Issue #1829 has been fixed and I would like to thank people who have worked on this because it was very difficult to get some technical information on the syabas platform.
I'm pretty sure this will fix most of our CPU issues.
I am looking forward Ger's build.

Nope, they still use 1.22

Another thing. If i install 1.50 over this "new 1.22", exist any problem??
If anyone downloading torrent with newer transmission (1.42 or 1.50) have install the last firmware, please report any problem (lost of the files, etc)
