RE: [transmission] **** UPDATED **** Transmission 1.60 download and discussion - giannis1010 - 05-14-2009 09:44 AM

hi Ger

With these new settings.....seems to be ok, no crashes.....even if donwload with speed 1.4-1.5 mb/sec

RE: [transmission] **** UPDATED **** Transmission 1.60 download and discussion - Ger Teunis - 05-14-2009 09:46 AM

Great great, multiple positive reports.
The next release I create will actively reset these settings to 60 and 20 for downloads.
I'll combine it with the 1.61 version of transmission.

will the new version allow scheduling?

Hi guys..

I'm totally new to all this so please bear with me... In order to change the peer settings (I have found the file and what to change) must I stop transmission by going to the nmt services and stopping it from there? Or is there another way?

Thanks!

More info is available on the first post, just below the red letters Smile
Use the "stop" button of CSI to stop it, then wait a while and edit the file.

Version 1.61 is out, added it to the CSI.
This one should automatically update your settings.json file.

ps> I am not going to update my "transmission for nmt" site anymore.

Now: including non-crash config!
Please report back here if the install and update of Tranmission correctly changed peer-limit-global and peer-limit-per-torrent correctly to 60 and 20!

Cheers Ger Big Grin

RE: [transmission] **** STABILITY FIX **** Transmission 1.61 download and discussion - Ger Teunis - 05-14-2009 09:28 PM

The Gaya UI (interface on the NMT itself) seems to be incompatible with 1.61.
I've contacted Shurup for this, until this is fixed use the webbrowser interface.

For me, none of the interfaces works.
TransGUI or Gaya or Web...Sad

Same here...

What error message are you getting?
You're opening http://nmt_ip:9091 right?

Yeah.
First I got some sort of pop up (webinterface) that it can't connect and refreshing might help. Then I reinstalled Transmission and rebooted NMT. Now it just gives a white page that keeps loading...

-edit; I had 1 torrent loaded, which I stopped before installing. That might have to do with it if 'Jump7' had that too.

-edit2; now after loading +-5 min it gives this error again:
Details gives Server not responding.

Give it time, NMT is very busy after rebooting.
Perhaps reload the page after a few minutes.
From what version did you upgrade?

When you uninstall and install again it works okay?
Uploading torrents seems to be broken as well. Use 1.60 release for the moment, I'll investigate what we have on our hand here.

Also happened after update without reboot. And I give it about 15 min now, still the same problem...
Upgraded from last version.

Upgraded from last version.

Could you post the Apps/Transmission/.transmission/settings.json file?
WHen you do an uninstall and then an install?
If that doesn't work: revert back to 1.60.
