RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090928-1b - Slevin - 09-30-2009 08:43 PM More logs + index.db send, fanart is fixed, but still movies and series missing RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090928-1b - lordy - 09-30-2009 09:26 PM Hi all, I've fixed it properly this time (the earlier fix was also real bugs but just not this one!) I'm running a scan before releasing. I wasn't going to post until I released it - but I thought I better to save people sending more logs! Thanks for the logs BTW! I now have a system where I can take a log file and create fake media files and scan it ![]() (09-30-2009 06:54 PM)mrmrmrmr Wrote: I don't have anything installed on my PCH pther than Oversight. If you have logs called eg. catalog.1234.log in Apps/oversight/logs then send them first, otherwise please send a Check.log http://code.google.com/p/oversight/wiki/SendingLogReports @all, scanning fixed now! RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090928-1b - borntochill - 10-01-2009 02:48 AM Lordy, whatever you did with today's version, it's working much better for me than other recent ones. I had kept going back to an Oversight version from last month because recent releases were either completely misidentifying several TV series or not finding them at all. Now it is near 100% correct. Thanks! One very minor thing: I have a movie (Heavy Metal Parking Lot) that's rated (Not Rated). The title always appears in Oversight as Heavy Metal Parking Lot (Not%20Rated). RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090928-1b - lordy - 10-01-2009 03:43 AM Cheers, I had improved the scanning but this was overshadowed by the missing files saga! PM me the full name of the HMPL file and I'll take a look. RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-1b - goodegg - 10-01-2009 06:43 AM :)Ive just figured out (I think)what is happening. Oversight is showing all of my downloaded content ie. mkv, wmv, divx etc but its not showing my Vobs that I have ripped from my collection of dvd's. Do I have to rename all of these files? (DVD ripped to vob via clone dvd mobile using vob pass thru option). Great work Goodegg RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-1b - Lexluthor - 10-01-2009 07:22 AM Hi Lordy, With every new version of Oversight there seems more jukebox entries to disappear on my PCH-a100. With the previous versions it refused to index only few movies but at the present I only get about 30% of all my content indexed. Few examples: 1. I have two Rambo movies, one from 1982 one from 2008. They are saved in two separate folders on USB attached drive. With few Oversight versions ago both were properly indexes, then the 2008 release dissapeared. Now there is no Rambo entry left. 2. Few days ago I added movie Rumor Has It to my collection. it was immidiately proprely indexed. With the latest version the entry dissapeared. The same goes with the Night At The Museum II. Many more entries dissapeared also. 3. I've got all 9 Senifeld seasons. It used to index them all, then one by one dissapeared from Oversight. Currently I am down to only 4 indexed seasons. It seems despite all improvements that there's something wrong with the searching or indexing algorythm. Current version therefore is unfortunately totally unusable for me ![]() Could you fix the engine so it works at least as good as the one from 4 versions ago? RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-1b - lordy - 10-01-2009 10:55 AM @Lexluthor, I've had two reports that 20090930-2BETA is working now. I'll look at your logs now. Then when your problem is resolved you should find the scanner is actually better than before. @Goodegg, I dont think I've ever added single VOB support. (There is full VIDEO_TS but not single VOB). I'll raise it as an issue. @all, Please note the current version is 20090930-2BETA This is the one that works. Please check with that version before submitting any more logs. Sorry for the confusion & thanks for your patience. RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-2b - _al_ - 10-01-2009 02:24 PM Thanks lordy, Indexing is working properly again, however I still cannot mark TV episodes as watched. I can mark the entire series, but when I try to mark individual episodes I do not see a "mark" button (only "cancel"). Is anyone else having this problem? It used to work 2 versions ago. cheers RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-2b - lordy - 10-01-2009 02:43 PM @_al_ Hi , will fix that later. Probably a day or 2. http://code.google.com/p/oversight/issues/detail?id=114 RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-2b - treqie - 10-01-2009 02:57 PM Noticed you have fixed the duplicate episodes! Nice. RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-2b - nik8 - 10-01-2009 03:20 PM Hi Lordy I put the 0930-2b version on today and started with a new index.db. First impressions are good, most content is detected correctly Couple of things I've noticed: I had misspelt a whole folder and contents (The Incredibal Hulk/Season 1 - should have been The Incredible Hulk, files were The_Incredibal.Hulk.S1.E1.mkv etc) So after the first new scan, where it had catalogued but not identified the misspelt content, I renamed the the files and then the parent folder to the correct spelling. I've got my watch scan to run every hour and the first new scan finished at about 10 past the hour so the watch scan was locked at this point (on the 600 second wait). I then updated the names of the Hulk files (first) then finally the parent folder. What I think has happened is that the watch scan kicked in while I was doing this and detected a changed folder (because I'd changed a filename in it) but then by the time is came round the doing something to the files, I'd already renamed the parent folder! Code: [DEBUG] 10:31:32 : Check parent folder relation to media [/share/ovs_testing/The Incredibal Hulk/Season 2]then finally, it got to the merge point and had a segmentation fault: Code: [DEBUG] 10:32:12 : 27 items in 775s = 28.7s per itemNot sure if what I had done caused this?? The result of all this is that on a subsequent scan I had this errorCode: [DEBUG] 11:18:38 : Creating [xmbc] /share/ovs_testing/The Incredibal Hulk/Season 2/The_Incredibal.Hulk_S2E23.nfoThis was the last line in the log so it looks like it stopped the scan? Then finally, a waiting watch scan started and hasn't pruned all the old Hulk folders/files so there are some lingering ones. This is the last pruning run: Code: [INFO] 11:37:59 : Prune ? [/share/ovs_testing/The Incredibal Hulk/Season 2/The_Incredibal.Hulk_S2E1.mkv]These folders/files don't exist any more but they show up in the html. Should they not be pruned? Couple of other issues: scarface.1984.avi refuses to be catalogued The Office (UK version) is finding the US 'The Office' (my files are 'The Office.2001.S1E1.Downsize.mkv') Is there a way to force UK TV series like this? thanks for this release, no more missing/disappearing files for me files so far! Want the logs ?
RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-2b - lordy - 10-01-2009 03:33 PM Re the renaming thing - that's life I guess as long as scanning works after everything has settled down that's the best we can do. But for watch_folders I do need to make a change so that it doesnt look at timestamps anymore, but rather if the file is already in Oversight database or not. Then it will be more robust.Yes the Office and Kath&Kim and other exported series like that are right headaches. Esp as each of the Tv sites seem to have their own naming convention (which they sometimes break themselves) and the scene releases have another, and individuals often have another! I think if you create an nfo file with the IMDB tt0000000 id it will work. >> These folders/files don't exist any more but they show up in the html. Should they not be pruned? Hmmm. This is a side effect of my simple pruning check. Files are NOT pruned if their grandparent folder is not visible. In your case the grandparent folder is not visible because that was renamed too. BUT the same thing would also happen if you deleted the series with this format. so I may have to start doing this properly and looking at the mount table. RE: Oversight Jukebox V20090930-2b - Slevin - 10-01-2009 04:03 PM Thanks lordy for the fast fixing.. 0930-2b solved my issues. Just the "watched" button, but thats nothing urgent, and you've already given the status on that one. Good work, and hopefully you can keep it up
