RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-14-2009 03:51 AM I've not added any streaming yet. but very likely one day. At the moment clicking on the PC will start playback on the NMT. This can be turned off in the oversight settings. A search is definitely planned. The prototype is here http://code.google.com/p/nmt-scripts/downloads/list RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Atinkler - 12-14-2009 03:18 PM (12-11-2009 07:41 AM)espresso Wrote: Hey oversighters, Hi espresso - stupid question but how do I create an HTM and what program should I use I'm using Notepad ++ but it'll only create HTML files even though I'm naming it HTM
RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Inrego - 12-14-2009 06:36 PM @Atinkler Configure your windows to show file extensions for known filetypes. Else it can be tough to see the difference between a html and a htm file.. When you've configured your windows, you can see if the extension is .html or .htm if it's .html you can just rename it to .htm You can configure windows by going to a folder -> press alt (don't hold) -> Click Tools -> Folder Options -> Click the "View" tab -> Remove the selection in "Hide extensions for known filetypes". I hope this solves your problem.

Hope this helps Espresso (12-14-2009 03:18 PM)Atinkler Wrote: Hi espresso - stupid question but how do I create an HTM and what program should I use I'm using Notepad ++ but it'll only create HTML files even though I'm naming it HTM Just noticed Inrego reply and he has a very good valid point
RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Inrego - 12-15-2009 01:47 AM Another options is to add quotes when you save it. So when you save it from notepad++ and you are to give it a filename you type "index.htm" with the quotes! As far as I know, this will force the problem to save it in htm. If this is not the case, you are able to rename the file to index.htm using the quotes if you do not want to show known file extensions. I'm pretty sure it's like this, it's something that I can slightly remember from when I didn't show known extensions. But anyhow, showing the extension is the best option for almost anything - I see no reason why M$ decided to hide them by default. I know it's to make it more user friendly - but even novices on a computer knows that a song that they want on their iPod is mostly a .mp3 and pictures from their camera is .jpg and documents from their word is .doc (and recently also .docx which brings even more confusion for people who are hiding the extension). So imo, hiding the extension from default is only making more confusing than it's good. RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - defer - 12-15-2009 07:09 PM witch files do i have to backup to keep folders of movies when I want to do a reinstall from scratch. thanks RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-15-2009 08:22 PM @defer , index.db and plot.db RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - defer - 12-15-2009 08:25 PM (12-15-2009 08:22 PM)lordy Wrote: @defer , index.db and plot.db thanks, but seems I have a problem with site checker. All red crosses on all 4 webdatabases and 3 search engines. Pc on same network is google etc working. Maybe I'm blocked bye provider, my limit 30 GB in the month is reached. index.db but in Apps\oversight i see also index.db.Mon.PM index.db.Tue.AM index.db.Tue.PM and plot.db is 0 kB RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-15-2009 08:32 PM Hi , do any other internet services work from NMT page? Are you running any torrents or usenet download? This may make the sight checker report errors (because it can only spend a short time checking each site) The other index.db.day.am/pm files are also backups. Pick the most recent one that does not have zero size. Though often it is less hassle just to start from scratch. If your plot.db is 0 length that means something went wrong? RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - defer - 12-15-2009 08:44 PM No torrents or usenet download. other internet services are working from NMT page. Also I have 64 movies and 69 Episodes. took me 1 1/2 day to scan, scanning is without covers only the name of the movies RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Inrego - 12-15-2009 09:19 PM Hmm .. I have 168 movies and 823 episodes and I'm not sure but I think a scan for me is finished after about 1½-2 hours WITH covers and WITH fanart.. RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-15-2009 10:23 PM @defer , something is wrong with that scan time. Please send logs following the steps in http://code.google.com/p/oversight/wiki/SendingLogReports RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - SuneW - 12-15-2009 11:17 PM Lordy I have sent you logs from my NMT with a similar error, it seems to me the problem is with accessing internet sites. (i'm at work now). thanks RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - crush - 12-16-2009 01:27 PM Hi Lordy, Sorry if these have been asked before. I dont have internet at home because I dont want it for the time being so I installed oversight at a friends place and had it download all the posters and info it could. After disconnecting from the internet I tried going into oversight from web services it didnt work and asked me to press the return button. Back at home with no intenet I went into my HDD running on my HDX1000 and into apps/oversight I found the *install.html file and pressed install. All the posters came up again as normal. But when I shut the HDx off for the night and turn it back on the next day oversight does not work again and I have to do the install process again to make it work. Is there a way this can just work without internet connection and not having to install every time? By the way I installed the beta version (not the stable version) if it matters. Also another question. All my videos (TV series and movies) are in subfolders under share/video. Do I need to write every single detailed path for oversight to see them or is it just enough to write share/video and oversight will see subfolders automatically? Sorry I dont have much knowledge of this kind of stuff so my questions really may seem stupid. Thank you for your replies in advance. |
