RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - popcornmix - 01-16-2011 03:55 PM CSI has stopped working on my C200. Still okay on A110. I've tried removing CSI and reinstalling. I've rebooted PC. I've rebooted C200. I've tried installing CSI on a new machine with same result. I've deleted AppInit folder on C200. I've restored firmware, apps (including formatting drive), and reset all settings on C200. Firewall is disabled on PC. I can ftp in okay with command line ftp, including uploading files. Doesn't matter what app I install. Even get same result with "Restart NMT" from CSI. Always same failure. Get error dialog with "Connection error while trying to connect to Networked Media Tank" The error log always reports this: Code: 16/01/2011 14:36:14;Error;WebException during install method of UploadInstaller; The remote server returned an error: (550) File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access).; at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.FtpCommands.UploadFolder(String server, String username, String password, String localFolder, String remoteFolder, UpdateProgressInfo OnProgressChange) in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\FtpCommands.cs:line 333 - at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.UploadInstaller.InstallThread() in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\UploadInstaller.cs:line 153RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - Ger Teunis - 01-16-2011 05:50 PM Did you select the correct hardware type? (look carefully!) Yes it is set to C-200. Same result with PCH-C200 or 192.168.4.12 as server. I've also tried C-200 (USB) and A-200 just to see if there's any difference (and I get same result). RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - zaldwaik - 01-18-2011 09:10 PM I am trying CSI and while FTP server is running I am getting this error Code: 1/18/2011 2:47:46 PM;Error; Can't connect to segfault repository server; The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.; at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.Repository.DownloadRepositoryFiles(String repositoryName, String repositoryUrl) in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Repository\Repository.cs:line 383I have installed NMT apps on a usb drive and the FTP server appears to be running fine. I am trying to test HDHomeRun app before acquiring a new internal HD. Thanks. RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - madGreg - 01-23-2011 02:05 PM (01-23-2011 01:51 PM)Ger Teunis Wrote: (553) File name not allowed Hey Ger, thanks, I think I have the same partition, but the pointer to FAQ was good. I erased AppInit and related files from the PCH hdd and it started to work again. It seems like it was stuck in some not-so-clean intermediate state that it couldn't recover from. RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - northpole - 01-29-2011 04:47 PM Ok, I really hate to report the same old 404 problem. I have PCH-A100 with internal HDD. Running CSI from local drive on Win 7 x64. I had 2.6.x CSI and had earlier successfully installed Oversight and Transmission and a theme. Today I updated the A100 firmware to latest and CSI to 2.7.2 and I tried to install themes, YTLR and custom menus. During the process, YTLR gave an error of missing appint.json file (don't remember full error message). So I edited/renamed the Apps folder contents and tried reinstalling again. That messed up other apps. After that I am never able to use an CSI apps. I have tried the following: 1. Removed and reinstalled all apps from CSI 2. Clean installed NMT apps and delete all foreign folder. 3. Used deep clean 4. Reinstall firmware 5. Did a fresh install of firmware and apps, formatted the entire HDD. (I had to backup the entire collection.) 6. Tried fresh installed from online and USB both. 7. Disabled local Norton AV and FW. I don't use any proxy. 8. I tried setting static and DHCP IP on A100 9. Even disable firewall and all kinds of filtering on my Internet router. There are no new folders in NMT other than Download, Music, Photo, Video, .transmission, lost+found and .nzbget. I am able to 1. connect to internet from A100, 2. Connect to A100 over FTP using filezilla Have selected right product in CSI and used IP address instead of hostname. The log file doesn't log anything other than FTP errors. The below errors were logged when I tried wrong IP, uname or passwords to make sure its connecting. Right now its a fresh NMT apps, new firmware and empty HDD (no media). Surprisingly CSI is not creating any apps folder on the NMT though I can see the LED activity in A100 while it says installing. Code: 29-01-2011 5:27:55 PM;Error;FTP connection test failed with:;The remote name could not be resolved: 'pch'; at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.CheckError() - at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.GetResponse() - at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.FtpCommands.TestFTPserver(String server, String username, String password) in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\FtpCommands.cs:line 228Nevertheless, I greatly appreciate work by Ger Teunis and others. This has helped me a lot and would appreciate if the work is continued. But the 404 error is persistent and is driving me nuts. Any kind of help is highly appreciated. Regards, Niranjan Patil RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - Ger Teunis - 01-29-2011 04:49 PM Niranjan> you should check your NMT address, you did skip part of the FAQ mentioning the ip address. Your server returned: "The remote name could not be resolved: 'pch'" RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - northpole - 01-29-2011 05:13 PM (01-29-2011 04:49 PM)Ger Teunis Wrote: Niranjan> you should check your NMT address, you did skip part of the FAQ mentioning the ip address. Oh, I'm sorry, I've already mentioned it above. I am using the PCH IP address and not the hostname PCH or PCH-A100. Also, I have restarted my laptop and PCH both couple of times. Appreciate any answers to these. It will help me to help you troubleshoot this problem: 1. Is there any option to enable debug or specific version of the app to generate log files? 2. Is this 404 error returned by the app or NMT? 3. If NMT is able to read media from my NAS, play streaming video and audio from Internet, why is it not able to connect to Internet? 4. If I am getting 404 for any particular page or site, can you share that full URL with IP or domain name, so that I can see what's blocking it at my end? Error message: "404 Not FoundRequested file not exist! (404 Not Found)" The only major changes in my case are the updated A100 firmware and CSI 2.7.2. Which should not be an issue ,since I guess its working fine for others. RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - Ger Teunis - 01-29-2011 05:15 PM What are the contents of the ftp's initial directory when you connect using a ftp client? RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - northpole - 01-29-2011 05:51 PM Have mentioned that too. Here they are: lost+found Music Photo Video Download
RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - popcornmix - 01-29-2011 07:50 PM I'm still failing with my C200. I think the problem is that the initial directory for ftp is /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/ rather than /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/USB_DRIVE/ Code: ftp 192.168.4.12RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - Ger Teunis - 01-29-2011 07:52 PM (01-29-2011 05:51 PM)northpole Wrote: Have mentioned that too. RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th ** - michaelg04 - 01-30-2011 04:31 AM i too am now getting this same "404 Not FoundRequested file not exist! (404 Not Found)", and there is no error log so it's not realizing its broken. |
