Then I am also kinda lost on setting this up through the iPhone. How do I know what the source path is? Is it networked since I'm streaming though my server. With the myihome application. Also will it matter that I have multiple streamers that my tank picks up?

anyways thanks in advace for the help I'm excited to use this app

Hi,
The easiest way to make the file executable is with an ftp program. Connect the usb to your pc/mac and with the ftp program go to the attributes of the file. Enable executable
When you run the installer from the pch e.g /tmp the screen should show you
Program found...
For the setup up path just leave it blank or /. It will go to the root of the share. Since i have other stuff in my share that aren't pch related i use /media so i dont have to drill down one directory every time.

Hope it helped

Teo

Hi Teo, and thanks for a great app.

I just wondered, do you have any plans for putting an "Enter/OK" button on the remote? I have tried to read the whole tread and I'm sorry if you already answered this question.

I'm not very technical, so I have some difficulties getting the app to work the same way as in the demo video, but I propably will find out why later.

Thanks again Smile

Thanks that was great help I was able to make the file excuteable. But when I run it from internal memory I still get this message.

Found program...
cp: read error: input/outup error Sorry, it appears that cp returned an error.

And when I click run from USB still just a white screen. And I can not connect the app

Yes, the ENTER button along with a couple of features and bug fixes will be coming out in a couple of days.

Well i received my a200 did some testing and extra work needs to be done. But i am still working on some issues with the current version.
Hopefully i'll post the new update today.

I'm having problems with the a200 during network playback and i see there are alot of problems concerning network/router/switches.
Anyway i'll get on to it when this update is finished.

Looks really a great application, I was excited about it but......

Should'n you advice in the apple store the need of anothers application in the nmt to make your application feasible?

The text showed in the lundman's page might scare people when you read about the telnetd installing.
"It is entirely possible that you can break your hardware, for which I can not be held responsible, nor is it likely you will get help from Syabas. This guide should not be read by anyone "

I'm waiting for an iphone, maybe 4G and have already installed telnet time ago in my PCH A100, might get the application when the iphone arrives.

Suggestion, could you make your applicattion independent, making itself the install of the telnetd into de PCH from the iphone? Maybe my suggestion is too silly, but this will make the your application really friendly for people without too much Knowledge installing telnet into PCH from PC (or MAC).

Regards and congratulations.Wink

Hi
Well there is a special notice indicating that free software is required to be installed.
Unfortunately telnet is not enabled be default for various reasons. I was troubled how to do this. Redirect everyone lundman's wiki or create a new wiki page. I decided to go with the first.
Surely the "Install this at your own risk... " etc., will scare the novice but i couldn't omit it.

Your suggestion would best for the app also. I have thought about and if it is feasible maybe it could be done the other way around, from the pch to the pc/mac.
I will look into this but first i have work with the A-200.

Teo
Just uploaded version 1.5.12 to the app store, should be available soon.

This version has the following:

- Added Enter button for Remote
- Added Parameter for Disable sleep mode
- Added Support for .iso Playback
- Complete directory playback from selected file
- Added Support for Large directories
- Bug fix for special character '

There are a couple of things that i still want to include for network_browsing and shares. These will be in the next update.

Teo

I have been at it for 4 days now and I still can't get it to connect

RE: NMT remote iPhone native app. - rocky98 - 03-28-2010 09:25 AM

Hi,

someone sucessfully tested on a HDX 1000?
When i manually connect to the HDX i can't see the networkshares.
When i restart the app i'll got the error "unknown device".
I think the app checks the NMT name.
So it is possilbe to add the HDX 1000 to the device list?

Have you successfully installed telnet? Can you telnet from your pc to the pch?

Yes it does check the NMT name since there are differences between the PCH 100 series and the egreat. I don't have an HDX1000 to test it.
If you could provide me with some directory listings from the output of a telnet i could include it.

Hi,

Nothing special, as you said ls -l from some directory with media files

Also confirm and give me listing from
/opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/

And one last thing, do a
cat /etc/config

Thanks
Teo
