I have tried 20 different combinations of the hdparm line I used before and it just won't work. I was so happy when I managed to fix this a while back because the spindown timer of 10 minutes is so incredibly annoying. I followed your instructions. Deleted the start_app.sh file and reinstalled lundman shell. Got a new start_app.sh file created. Edited this file with Notepad++ (as suggested in http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=40209&pid=377287#pid377287) so the file format stays the same. Unfortunately all this still didn't help... ![]() Any more suggestions? EDIT: Also all the settings of my NMT apps and my settings for NZBGET are also gone each time my PCH is being reset. This wasn't the case earlier, when everything worked fine... I've received rma to send it back, but it gonna cost me at least £20 Same here, I also have to send it back. It is going to cost almost € 30, and I think i am going to be about three or four weeks without the PCH.... I also think it is something with this last update. I am sure I don nothing wrong. Also no CRC fault, so the package was okay,. Never had any issues with MKV until now watched all of these movies before the update without a hitch. Also they work fine on my a-110.Think i'll try to go back to last firmware..Nothing was change on any of my hardware. Lou Update: So I downgraded to the firmware before the latest and all back to working perfect something in the new firmware my system didn't like.. I deleted the start_app.sh file and reinstalled lundman shell to rebuild it. I then added the /sbin/hdparm -S0 /dev/sda line and it seems to work again. So to anyone who has problems with getting settings in the start_app.sh file to work, try rebuilding it. I tryed that solution, too. Still dont work .

"if it ain't broke - don't fix it" my c-200 works fine for me at the moment - I will be waiting for the UI change until I install something. I got my PH last Nov, I think it was the 3rd batch. I've always updated online, never a problem. Even this FW and Apps went fine. The unit seems to work fine but I've been away for a few days and haven't used it much. I see at least two possibilities : 1) The defect is software (inside firmware update), occurring on some PCH. 2) The defect is hardware, perhaps in some flash memory chips 1) means each firmware update is a “sword of Damocles”, with a recovery procedure that does not work. RMA can solve this during warranty, but after that ? 2) means I will not be afraid of any further firmware upgrade … when the hardware will be fix. Like Burnerbum proposed, it will be good to identify such hardware (serial number, chip revision, manufacturing date, …) Any official opinion would be appreciated, isn’t it ? PS : Personally I did not have choice : my C200 returned to reseller yesterday, and I have to wait 3 ou 4 weeks... They told me I was not the first with the same problem (C200 bricked after firmware upgrade). Since then my Vide signal is gone. I was using a HDMI to DVI convert since my TV has no HDMI input. After downgrading Popcorn to previous firmware everything is back to "normal". Other question: when I select a folder that contains mp3 and I want to play all of them my Popcorn just freezes. (on USB) Unfortunately this is not fixed in this Firmware either. Did anyone have similar problems ? thanks for the replies RE: [C-200] Firmware 02-02-100428-19-POP-408 (02-02-100318-19-POP-408 Apps) (07.05.2010) - Falven - 05-11-2010 11:19 AM I thought i had no problems after the update except the playback of some BD's like Avatar. Now i see that most of the .iso files won't play anymore When you say most of the .iso files won't play anymore, do you mean that nothing happen at all or just they don't make it to the trailers/menu? That's my experience and as most of my stuff I haven't watched yet is in ISO format (I do my remux'ng after I've watched it if the extra space wasn't worth keeping online). I've had to enable this new simple BD navigation to watch any of the ISO's now.
