I bought my C200 a few days ago and made some tests with dvd files (.IFO, .VOB) => it worked just fine. Yesterday, I installed the latest released firmware version (02-02-100428-19-POP-408) and now I'm experiencing some issues => on one movie (Avatar) subtitles are appearing in yellow on blue boxes on another movie (Walkyrie) every time there is a subtitle the whole screen turns to blue. Moreover the preselected audio language & subtitle language I selected when I copied the movie does not seem to be available anymore (I have to select the subtitles manually). Do I need to change any settings to fix this or do I need to roll-back to another firmware release?

Day after day, I think I did a bad choice... Too expensive for a lot o bugs... With every firmware I hope to be better, is better now than yesterday, but is not stabile, not ergonomic, not perfect... After one year is at begining with software. I think I payed 400 euros for a box wich costs maximum 200 euros with same bugs and issues. I'm so disapointed, and now I see 200 euros NMTs wich can record HD from internal DVBTV card or SD analog from RCA inputs in addition what PCH200 can do... To much money for a good design, nothing more. Yes, the PCH200 is looking better than any NMTs... This is the only think I like.
P.S. Please program in next firmware POWER button to be POWER OFF on a single touch (not 4 seconds POWER OFF!).

I have to admit so far with the current progress of C-200 you have right.Let's hope with the next firmware and new SDK we can see a lot of improvements.But i have to tell you after a research there no perfect player in the market.If you spoke like this in Xtreamer forum the admin knows one method.And that is BAN.
P.S I think in my opinion the POWER OFF is ok

I agree, the way this forum works plus the way the C200 improves after every firmware (besides the may version) makes me glad I bought my C200.
Especially now it's installed with a 2nd 3.5" hdd.

Press the button once quickly, it goes into standby
Press and hold 4 seconds it shuts down completely.
No problem here with that design, actually, I think it's a good power option.

Ok, I see a lot of angry people here, but are a lot of persons who don't like to restart after 2 minutes because the subtitles o a dvd in seen pink and maybe all the screen is pink when the subtitles appear... I agree, is no perfect NMT in the world but this is a 400 euro box ! My SONY BRAVIA is a 800 euro TV and realy I don't have any little problem with him (it has software, LAN and other stuff). I think I payed too much for this NMT, that's my opinion... By the way, how much is a NMT wich don't need 10 restarts on a day ? 1000 euros ? You don't like because I have a negative oppinion ? The power option is not ok, because I need to restart so many times and my finger hurts me. I want a single push on Power button to shut down, you don't want, so, maybe is possible to put a "POWER OFF METHOD" programable ? Think, and give a solution, and then write on forum !
By the way, I use rarely the PCH-200 because I don't have enough time to watch movies, and it freeze a lot... Even the 4 second power off don't work, only with the hardware button from the back is possible to restart... An is very annoyng to stand up and Power OFF and ON every time it freezes.

I think it's time you go down the line in your audio/video system and see what really causes you trouble. Or maybe make a list of what kind of video presents these issues and see it could be the video encoding itself.
I never had these issues since Oct.2009 so I could not give advice.
If you bought your PCH through a distributor, you could phone them for help.

By the way, nobody is angry here, just wanting to help but you need to be more specific on your issues.

... and this is what I have to do to turn off the audio outputs so that my S/PDIF auto switch will allow another input to be selected. The big problem with this is that it then takes almost a minute for the PCH to turn on again.

That aside, I have no real problems with the C-200 - it plays all my videos as I would expect.

Hmm .... Actually, I find that my C-200 is much better since I removed the hdd last week. I now have more capacity for storing my movies on an unraid server.

Firstly the power issue. I have the perfect solution for you!!!...put a powerswitch, that works on remote control, in between your powersocket and the plug of the PCH! This means you do not have to stand up, you do not have to keep on pressing a button for 4 secs, you do not even have to press more than one button!
One single click on the RC and the power will be cut off to your PCH. Will cost you a couple of coins, nothing more...
Secondly, the funny subtitles, I experience this too sometimes. I just restart the movie and in the vast majority of the cases it will be solved. Just stop the movie (stop button) en start it again, by ENTER or PLAY.
Although this remediates the issue at that moment, I would like to know whether people have already found a possible cause for this. Almost all my movies have been ripped by DVDShrink, if this information helps. The movies are stored in VIDEO_TS (vob/ifo files).

Sorry for my bad english! I'm french and I would like to propose a improvement:
Have the possibility to choose the menu language DVDs and Blu-ray because at this time we can just select the audio language and subtitles by default.
