would you prefer syabas to release a firmware with known bugs and problems? Delays in the final stage of a software release are annoying, but better the release is delayed a few more days than being released prematurely and creating even more annoyances for end users. After all, that is what release schedules are all about. Otherwise they could just push out the first successful build and pray.

I would rather delay the release than risk "bricking" my box.
Just like everyone here I am anxiously waiting on the new firmware, but I also worry that it will introduce a whole set of new problems as there are a whole lot of changes introduced with the new development kit...
I am sure the next release thread will be longer than this one in a shorter time frame!

I'll provide some feedback once the beta changelogs have been updated. If it's not in the beta changelog thread it means even the beta testers aren't using it yet.

^^ you all should be happy for this update. The firmware has outgrew its old flashing utility. So they had to update it. This means a more stable way to flash the firmware for everyone.
