I guess you rebooted already. Thanks for your help.. I think the drive might have died afterall.. Hooked it up to a pc and it doesn't recognize the bluray disc's either. Not sure if the use a diffrent lens/laser for dvd/bluray that could explain why dvd is working RE: [C-200] Firmware 02-04-101206-21-POP-408 (02-04-101104-21-POP-408 Apps) (08.12.2010) - hugho - 12-23-2010 01:24 PM Hi, I should say, that after last firmware update my C-200 starts to freeze way too often. Even when not using NMJ. It freezes randomly even during playing some simple avi s, that I ve never had any problem before. After restart it usually freezes after first popcorn hour logo and stays there forever. It needs several hard resets to work again. I havent change any hardware connected to it, neither wiring... even when I plug-out the network the HDD it doesnt help. Anybody have some idea? It really annoying before Christmas during which I hope to finally watch some movies :-( Thanks, any suggestions appreciated! Hugo My setup: C-200 (two discs inside: 2,5 and 3,5 HDD) -networked through GB Switch, connected to yamaha recevier via coaxial and to Samsung TV via hdmi. I would strongly suggest backing up the database first doing a reset then putting the database back rather than rebuilding. I'd only try rebuilding if the reset fails as rebuilding the DB is such a chore. The fw's after that did not fix this so i flashed back to the May FW. Now it plays perfectly again. The new(August) video engine is far from stable with old/bad index/junk/-videos. PCH please fix this ! Henk (12-22-2010 03:15 PM)kadven Wrote: This has happened ever since the August firmware release. After a lot of playing about trying to find precisely which AVI's fail I have never found a 100% fail or 100% work example, although some codecs seem to be a lot more problematic than others. Let the scan run for 3 days with out anyone touching it. (Only 50 complete, I have a large library). I am still getting the white screen and IDE0 error. Is anyone else getting this? This all started after the last firmware. Setup: PCH-C200-USB, Buffalo Terrastation TS-XL , SMB share I really want to use NMJ insteed of YAMJ (because I am lazzy) Help! I have always to switch the power button on the back. So have any one the same problem?????? i hope it is a bug. Because trust me it's verry annoying. Quicktime trailers works now also verry bad. the sound fall out and out of video sync and some distortion on on the audio. Gapless playback not for me it still have gaps when i play mixed mp3's. Bye the way my crahsed issue is test WITH NMJ and WITHOUT NMJ. Instead of using power off on the back of the unit... try several times to hold power at the front for at least 6 seconds... It is working for me everytime that way... even if the unit is unresponsive to any buttons and to remote. Yesterday i test it again, i think that the movie was just playing around 10min and that was it carshed again. this is realy annoying don't you think. I would check if the unit is somehow overheating (Sigma chip or else) or the PSU is providing not enough power when it gets hot (you can test it with different PSU taken from desktop computer). Maybe try also to reinstall the firmware? This does not look good at all. I would expect some hardware failure in the near future. RE: [C-200] Firmware 02-04-101206-21-POP-408 (02-04-101104-21-POP-408 Apps) (08.12.2010) - MartinB - 12-28-2010 07:29 PM Well, this is embarrassing but I have to ask after reading this thread... It seems like the December issue of the c200-OS is a less good release? I use the c200 with a BD-ROM and a 2,5-inch internal HDD, most movies is watched either directly from BD or as 1080p MKV files with DTS audio and embedded srt subtitles. MKV files are mostly streamed over SMB. I am not very interested in bells and whistles, just stable, smooth playback. I have some problems with picture flips off for a second or so now and then since I bought a DTS receiver with a "HDMI-hub" (These problems seems gone after setting video mode to 1080i but it's annoying). Q: do I dare to upgrade to December release? It seems like almost everyone is stuck with different kind of recovery actions? Do I get something that increases stability, more playable BD discs, ability to set video to 1080p or something else? I was using the app.html(index.html) to auto launch NMJ and it's like it got corrupted some how, removing it seems to have fixed it. RE: [C-200] Firmware 02-04-101206-21-POP-408 (02-04-101104-21-POP-408 Apps) (08.12.2010) - ddf - 12-29-2010 10:42 PM Today I upgraded my NMT C-200 to FW 02-04-101206-21-POP-408-000. Result: a) After the upgrade I noticed the MAC address had changed. The new one was different to both the MAC address before the update and different to what was printed on the sticker at the device's back. b) I am using a "Wireless manual IP" configuration. Whenever I tried to manually configure the IP address after the update and saved the IP configuration I noticed the manual configuration took no effect. After re-opening the manual IP configuration my configuration did not show up, instead, both the IP address and the subnet mask were set to "-" (hyphen). Only the gateway showed up as previously saved. c) I tried to have the IP automatically configured (DHCP). Although I turned off MAC address filtering and checked router and firewall configuration, the "Connection" line only showed "Connecting" without connecting successfully. d) LAN/cable based connection works fine, no problems, whether with manually configured IP address or when using DHCP. e) I reset the device to factory settings, plugged off the device (power chord), checked a), b), c) => same effect. f) Now I tried out different FW versions: - 02-02-100118-19-POP-408-000 => OK, worked fine: MAC address OK, manual IP configuration OK, connection OK - 02-02-100214-19-POP-408-000 => OK - 02-02-100428-19-POP-408-000 => OK - 02-03-100821-21-POP-408-000 => OK - 02-03-101006-21-POP-408-000 => OK - 02-04-101104-21-POP-408-000 => ALL THE PROBLEMS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE! - 02-04-101206-21-POP-408-000 => surprise, surprise, same problems again. I read about the MAC address problem and I am sure it is not my network config (router/firewall etc.) which prevents the c-200 from connecting. Any ideas are highly appreciated. Thanks. |
