RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.1.5 (Win/Linux/OSX/Web/NMT)
(08-06-2009 09:32 AM)Ger Teunis Wrote: Ohh, sorry. I read your post the wrong way. Hi Ger, In the meantime I did a lot to stabilize my NMT and it seems to work perfectly again. I built in a small fan which seems to have taken all stability issues away. Telnet, SMB, FTP they all run without a problem, also NZBget works like a charm. I also updated the firmware (rewritten the latest) by USB. Everything works fine, but ... CSI is not :-( This is what I do .. I have to say that I use a different name but the native PCH-A110 (?) network name. Mine is called "terrorbyte" also the password is diferent. So what I do is, I start up CSI, it asks for the login info, I fill it in and it connects well. Then it shows the list of apps, all are listed as "Not installed". I select one of the packages, like "Subversion v1.6" and press NEXT. There is activity as it seems it is transferring something. Then when it reports it is installed, it shows me an empty screen with instructions (or progress?) not sure what should be in that screen. When I go back to the main screen and do a refresh, it tells me Subversion is still "Not installed" also telnet which I did install with an older version (v1.x?) of CSI is marked as "Not installed". When I check the Apps directory on the NMT where I assume the files will be written to, it contains no "Subversion", or "SVN" or any other recently added dir. I did try to upload a loading screen through CSI, that seems to work just fine I have the "Buttering please wait" logo now instead of the standard one. That brought me to some questions / ideas why it does not work; 1) Does CSI rely on any config files to be present on specific places on the NMT? 2) Is there a clash between old config files from CSI (1.x) to the new version (old stray files that need deleted/updated)? 3) Is there a problem when there are directories in Apps that are not registererd in CSI, like my own "nmtwatchd" application? 4) Is there a way to clean old config traces so that the CSI will not choke on old files that might be broken on my NMT when it attempts to read the currently installed config? If there are any log files or other things I can send you to aid you in spotting the problem I will be glad to do that.. With regards, - Jorgen |
