Don't want to rain on everyone's parade but there is one feature that has been long requested and there are no signs of it being in development. Can Syabas provide a roadmap as to when this feature will be implemented? The user request thread for this feature grows bigger every day. Come on guy, this will make PH the best media box on the market.

Was looking forward to the new photo app, but all I get is a black screen with the text "Loading".

It just hangs, and I have to manually reset the PCH

Using NFS btw. Could anyone else please try it out.

on SMB I got Loading for a few seconds then is started fine, kinda like it was buffering...

Love the new chapter support in .MKV files. However (you knew it was coming, right ?), even though I expected to ask for the chapter names to be listed, I can see that they already do - but too short. Only 9 characters.

Could this be extended to at least twice that?

Also, a feature (f.ex. the Title button) that lists all the chapters on screen (with their names) and allows you to scroll among them (while they remain on screen) to select one and then press OK to jump to it would make this feature perfect.

I am in the process of converting a lot of my old TV series to .MKV format so that I can place them on an HDD and play them from there. I convert the video to H264 at 2.5 Mbit and copy over the audio track(s) straight, extract the subtitles to .SRT format, and mix it all in. I also transfer the chapter info and if they are named in the original release, I also name them accordingly in the .MKV file (otherwise thay are just named "Chapter 1" and so on).

So except for this truncation of the chapter names, I can now convert my old TV series (and movies) to MKV and preserve all the information from the original. That is excellent news!

(and before someone asks: No - I don't have a finished program that does all this. I manually extract each audio and subtitle track using VobEdit and SubRip, encode the video track using TMPEGEnc 4.0 eXpress, mux them all together using MKVMerge GUI. It's a tedious process, but it gets the job done...)

About your encoding process - lets talk somewhere else - I think you can get better results with something else than Tmpgenc

Hi guys.. i just updated the firmware to my A100
Wierd but now my A-100 cant see .ISO files.. Anyone else noticed this?

Thanks to the developers for all their hard work, and not wishing to detract from that about 6 months ago it was indicated that AAC HE audio would be available with a new SDK. It seems that this is not a high priority as we are still waiting for it. With AAC HE becoming the world standard for DTT the demand is only going to increase so can it be included sooner rather than later.

I noticed that on playing music if the album art isn't the right size it apparently won't be centered, and blocks out the text. Also, when I hit stop on one of the songs, the screen went black and I had to reboot. Also, the same thing happened when I stopped viewing a photo as well. Boy, if we could have a plain black background while the music was playing it would sure look sweet.

Hi Kasper - as with IDX/SUB this is not related to this firmware
This thread is only to inform and discuss this firmware release, not to discuss other feature requests - please keep questions about AAC HE in the thread that concerns AAC HE and I will happilly answer your question there.

4:3 material. Many of my daughters DVD movies are in 4:3 format. I have a 16:9 plasma tv. I have choosen fullscreen in setup but I still get black bars on the sides. I want fullscreen to avoid ghost images and she doesn't care about the aspect ratio . Fullscreen and 16:9 in setup meant in previous firmware no black bars on the sides. What I'm doing wrong

Could anyone check if you can see and play .ISO files with this new firmware. I cant see or play those anymore
