Basic questions
I have been using the PCH without the internal drive, but recently I decided to add the drive. Many new apps were installed and I don't know how to use them.
Why would I need myiHome server on the PCH? What's the idea behind this, am I missing out on something? What is the UPnP server about? How do I use it? Do I even need it? I have also been using the torrent and especially Transmission, and was hoping that this would mean really good throughput, since my PCH has a wired connection, but very disappointing. It operates much much slower than utorrent on my laptop with a wireless connection. Am I doing something wrong here? The PCH is much less responsive with the added disc, streaming HD from my laptop is no longer smooth. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have the latest firm. |

RE: Basic questions
Some or the added programs like casgel you may not need. They take up procssor time and slow things dodw.
Go to the apps page and turn some things off and see how it affects your PCH. |
