RE: No sound on MOV files
Same problem here..

Everything works just great with the latest firmware, but the .mov files made with my Casio digital camera only play without sound.

file info on PCH say;s

Video: MOV
Audio: -

Maybe it can be fixed in the next firmware.

Change AAC audio settings from RAW to PCM on the PCH audio settings page.

I only have no sound with the .MOV files from my casio EX-V8.
Other downloaded .movs do have sound.

As sayd before file info on pch says

AUDIO: -

Changing AAC audio settings from RAW to PCM will not fix AUDIO: -

Seems like PCH doesn't recognise the audio stream in the mov's from the casio ....

These files play with sound on PC

RE: No sound on MOV files
The other posters in this thread are not using MOV files from a Casio digital camera, so for them Spawn's suggestion is probably correct.

In your case, you are right that the PCH does not recognize the audio for mat of the movies from your digital camera.

It is unlikely that the firmware engineers will prioritize support for that audio format over other requests, since many other requests are for issues concerning the majority of the user base, or all of it. You can add a request thread if you like, but I would not get my hopes up too much if I were you.

It is probably possible for you to convert the audio format of the MOV files to a supported format. To find out what the audio format is, download this application: http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download and run one of the MOV files through it.

Then post the log file from MediaInfo here, so we can suggest what program to use to convert the audio format.

Media tank:A-100 & C-200
TV:Panasonic TH-50PY800MT (HDMI)
Audio:Logitech Z-5500 (Coaxial)
