Yep that did the job Ger thanks very much! It would only keep the settings when i stopped the torrent service, did the command above , start service and then reboot the nmt.

Hi to All,

well, I installed transmission 1.4.2 but it was to slow. Now I'm trying the 1.4.0 version and it seems better.

However I think it's not good. I do a comparison with transmission 1.4.0 and uTorrent 1.8.1 running on my PC. The same torrent goes 100KB/sec on the PC. On PCH with transmission 1.4.0 never goes over 20KB/sec. It goes up and down, from 20KB to 0KB. From 0KB to 4KB. From 4KB to 0KB, etc etc

I see that the Upload is always 0 (zero)!! ... in seeding section: nothing!

Any suggestions?

Yeah, speeds are letting me down as well here on public trackers.
1.40 has a known issue not to upload anything while it is downloading, this was fixed in the 1.41 release.

1.42 = 1.41 with a critical bug fixed. So it went directly from 1.40 to 1.42 if you like.

The sourcecode for transmission-nmt is the same as the sourcecode from transmission itself and a patch to make TorrentWatch working.

That patch is available on torrentwatch site. (on these forums)

Yeah m8. In combination with compiling a couple of 3rd party libs with toolchain also. Not the nicest thing to do.

2º like me back to the 1.40 version?

3º If I change the hard disk, files that I have to move to the new hard drive to maintain and continue to share my downloads?

after some days of testing....i have a problem with 1.42 version....after some hours of seeding....transmission stop the seeding....and all torrent seem to be stuck in updating tracker status....if i restart transmission seeding start again....this happen all time after some hours (every 2-3 hours)

exactly the same happens too if i donwload torrent

the problem exist even i have active 1-2 torrent or 5-10 torrent....

the problem exist too with torrent from different trackers....public or prive

First of all, happy new year all!

Some answers to your questions.
1. 1.42 will overwrite the current transmission on the popcorn
2. Just install 1.40, thus overwriting the 1.44 (or the default 1.22)
3. You need to move the Download folder and a hidden folder called .transmission to your new HDD.

Almost the same name, coincidence?
Yeah, transmission is not very stable for the NMT at the moment. Some report great download speed and others (like myself) just can't get it do download on public trackers. They are working hard to get transmission more 'tuned' at the moment. Hopefully it will make it better for the NMT as well. Perhaps I should look at some alternatives in the future.
