Thanks for this version! With original NMT-Software 00-17-090115-15-POP-403 I had the HD-SpinUp-After-StandBy-Problem when torrent-service runs... With this Version all is fine! HD stays in standby!

So many thanks to Ger Teunis (and all other who worked for this)! Great work guys!

Thanks, shurup. The problem is, under Web services, there is no 'Transmission' option.

Hmm, latest CSI 1.7.2 should add it automatically, if it's not there and re-installing with CSI doesn't help then you can add service manually (Web services -> Add/Edit), the address would be:

http://localhost.drives:8883/HARD_DISK/t.../index.cgi

How to enable web authentication in transmission?

I tried changing it in the settings.json file - (rpc-authentication to 1 and setting a username & password) the changes remain after restart but I am not asked for any username or password via web interface!

Can any body help?

EDIT: Ok - Here are the steps:

1. Install Telnet via CSI and login to the box.
2. kill the clutch service with "/mnt/syb8634/server/clutch stop" command. This should return an OK message.
3. type "ps aux | grep trans"
4. The output will list stale processes. Kill the PID number by typing "kill 4833 4834" (whatever the numbers are)
5. Kill the clutch service again until you get a "failed" message (i.e, no processes to kill)
6. Now transmission has really stopped. Edit the setttings.json file with vi and make your changes.
7. Edit the /mnt/syb8634/server/clutch file and remove the -T parameter.
8. Start clutch.

Why would you? Just don't use it.
The NMT has a transmission installed per default.
Alternatively you can install an older version using the CSI.

Hi,
I have a new PCH-A110
I am with a problem, fro the last 3 days, it freezes 3 times. I have transmission 1.51-1 final running with some torrents.
I have a WD 1 TB hard drive.

What could be the problem ?
Is there a limit of active torrents ?

Every time it freezes I need to switch power off and then power on.
And then all the torrents need to verify, which is very anoying because it take too many time...

I also had similar problem, for me limiting the download speed helped, but I'm not sure that's the real reason, could be just as Ger Teunis said - it's not optimized for PCH hardware and all peers, connections and bandwidth takes way too many resources which normal PC/CPU would handle, but PCH cannot. Just a thought.

I'm using cTorrent now so I don't need Transmission anymore.
That's why I want to remove it.

Does the transmission run all the time and consuming memory and CPU time or only if there are torrents downloading/uploading with it?

Neh, will take some memory but not too much of it. Just remove any torrents from transmission.
If you want to stop transmission: disable "Bittorrent" from the Setup screen in "NMT Applications" will disable transmission and free the memory. cTorrent will still be running.

It's not the real reason.
This morning i have turned off and then turned on my pch.
Then the torrents start to verifying... after an hour I have acessed with remote transmoission and no host found. tryd to acess, and pch were freezed.

Could be the files size ?
All the files have more than 1 Gb.

I think i will try to change the bit torrent client..

No sorry, it seems that transmission has stability issues. Lots of reports are being made in the bug report system of transmission itself. I hope they fix it soon. For the time being, it worked for me, limit the download speed. Made my NMT stable again.
