Hi just follow the supplies install instructions at it should install. If it doesn't post back here. You shouldn't need commandline root access to install.

Thanks, I will try it on the PC, I was unzipping it with Stuffit on my laptop last night.

Maybe this was the problem

Have you made the file executable?

Quote: * If you have a Windows PC on the same network, open Windows Explorer, go to the Popcorn share , login in as nmt/1234 then right click on the file, select 'Properties' then 'Security', then set the 'Read and Execute' checkbox for 'Everyone'.
* telnet in and run the command chmod 755 /share/Apps/tvnzb/tvnzb.*'
* via a decent ftp client and use the command site chmod 775 /Apps/tvnzb/tvnzb.cgi

If still no lluck, you may also want to look at the torrentwatch program, this can also download nzbs and may have a better installer?

Yeah i Chmodded them to 755 using Flash FXP, when I right click the files in windows explorer there is no "security" options. Just General properties

RE: [nzbget] Automated downloading from tvnzb.com or newzleech.com
what model nmt do you have? do you have telnet installed? If so what is the output of

/share/Apps/tvnzb/tvnzb.cgi | head -5

(ps I think the above is the correct path - my PCH is broken!)

RE: [nzbget] Automated downloading from tvnzb.com or newzleech.com
I have the Popcorn Hour A-110

With the latest firmware installed.

I will try and telnet, although i have never done it before
Hmmm, Following this guide

http://www.lundman.net/wiki/index.php/NMT:telnetd

To install telnet i get the same blue screen saying "request cannot be processed"

So i suspect this problem is nothing to do with your Automated downloader
And for whatever reason it has just started working fine. Installed.

Thanks

Yes, I tried to follow the instructions, but I dont understand how I gain access to directories other than what I show in share. When I FTP or use SMB, these are the directories I have availible.

.btpd
.nzbget
.transmission
Download
lost+found
Music
Photo
Podcast
Video

I'm unsure as to how to access the directories mentioned. I also am unsure how to enable telnet access.

Im not sure what you are trying to do. For most software to install it you

1)Copy the files to some folder using SMB or FTP.

2)Use your television and remote control, select Source on the TV,
then navigate on the TV screen to the same folder whre you put the software (just as if you were about to play a video).

3)Press the blue button on the remote, to see a html file the developer has created in that folder.

4)Select the file using the remote. At this point the NMT will start running the installation internally as the root user.

The folder names will differ slightly from program to program but this is the general principal. Some software can be installed more easily using GerTeunis's community software installer, http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...161&page=1

Thanks for the help again, got it installed, now im just working on tweaking the listings to get back results that work. I had never installed any software before on the pch, so I had no idea that I just need to create a Apps folder and put tvnzb in there. Thanks again and any tips on listings? I sort of edited your pre-exsisting stuff to only give back xvid (sd) matches but I only get one match when doing the 15 page test.

Here is my list right now.

American Dad S4+xvid
Aqua Teen Hunger Force S5+xvid
Breaking Bad s02+xvid
Burn Notice S2+xvid
Californication s2+xvid
Chuck s2+xvid
Cops S21+xvid
Crash S1+xvid
Curb Your Enthusiasm S6+xvid
Dexter S3+xvid
Entourage S5+xvid
Fringe S1+xvid
Generation Kill S1+xvid
Ice Road Truckers S2+xvid
Lead Balloon s2+xvid
Mad Men S2+xvid
Monk S7+xvid
Psych S3+xvid
Robot Chicken S4+xvid
Sons of Anarchy S1+xvid
The IT Crowd S3+xvid
The Mentalist S1+xvid
The Real Hustle+xvid
The Sarah Connor Chronicles S2+xvid
The Ultimate Fighter s8+xvid
True Blood S1+xvid
Weeds s4+xvid

Does this look OK to you? Any idea's of why i dont get more matches back?

Thanks again for all the help and a great application.

Yeah this is simply a slow time of year. Most of the programming is on a break. You will only get matches for stuff that has shown in the last 1-3 days, depending on which feed you are using.
FWIW Psych and Monk have just been downloaded by my Popcorn this morning, so you should be able to get matches on these in your tests.

This only works effectively for programs that have current airtime in the tv schedules. Its not useful for downloading programs that are not being aired.

Also see here for a more detailed explanation.

PS if you have no interest in 720p/mkv downloads at all, you could put either +xvid or -720p in your global rules.

Thanks for all the help and the tips, I found the NMT community Software installer very helpful, hopefully your software can get added as well.

RE: [nzbget] Automated downloading from tvnzb.com or newzleech.com
Thanks for all your help Ydrol with this, i have it now working and downloading automatically. Fair play.

One thing I noticed last night, I had set it up to automatically get 24, but it only snagged the first episode as it was a double episode last night both S07E01 and S07E02 were released within about an hour of each other, is there any reason why it did not catch the 2nd episode?

Also, have you considered adding options in the downloader to save different series to different folders? you know to keep things Tidy and the like

Thanks again for the outstanding work on this script.

RE: [nzbget] Automated downloading from tvnzb.com or newzleech.com
Hi, mine grabbed both. Probably depends on the feed. Which feed are you using?
Also crob job runs on the half hour i think, so hopefully it's picked up.
Mine came don at 5:30 from tvbinz..

If you use the unpak.sh script this will move series to different folders.
