NMT Home screen: select Video (icon), then select Video (folder). Why?
On my HDX-100, when I select the Video-icon from the home screen, I'm presented with the 5 folders on the hard disk: Photo, Music, Download, Video and the 5th one (I forget which, I'm at work)
Why is that? When you select Video, it should automatically go into the Video folder. When selecting Music, it goes to the Music folder When selecting Photos, it goes to the Photo folder Why is the behavior different for Video? HDX-1000 + 750GB WD GreenPower |

I and many more agree with you.
The most logical way to make it work in my opinion is to allow us to set directory paths under the PCH settings for each media type. That is what most jukebox softwares do, and it works well. It would take a lot of steps out of the browsing process. |

We all agree its just a pity we weren't around in the early development stages.
It acts a filter so after going through the video icon then when you get to your share only folders and video files are shown. Still unnecessary as thats what most of us have in the shares in any case. For the future Syabas undertand the issue and will take into account our feelings. It would be a huge under taking to change it now. search for penang visit report to see Syabas comment on it and future vision. RE: NMT Home screen: select Video (icon), then select Video (folder). Why?
The only problem i foresee with changing it is...what if you happen to keep some video files outside the "video" folder on the hard drive? how would you then get to them? I suppose one solution would be to set default browsing in the video folder, but allow you to back out of it.

For example, allowing PCH to monitor multiple directory paths for video. |
