Annoying A100 Problem. Any video refuses to play sometimes Pls Help
Since the last firmware update I have noticed an annoying problem. That is that on occasion (I say about 50% of the time) when I plug the unit in and it starts, it simply refuses to play ANY type of video. This also includes dvd folders. To fix the problem I have to get up, unplug the PH and plug it back in. Then when it starts back up everything works fine. Never noticed this before, and my settings are pretty much at default. Anyone else have this problem and aware of a fix?

Are you sure it is not particular files (of any type) that are not playing?

Audio: Onkyo HT-S5100 7.1 (Coaxial)
Video: Sony KLV-52W400a (HDMI)
BD/DVD: Sony PS3 (HDMI)
Remote: (Shaun looks over the fence and says): Yes, lots

Same story over here. Every dvd-file gives for me this same issue. It looks like the pch looses connection with my homenetwork. And this is happening since the last firmware-update. by the way i have pch A110.

RE: Annoying A100 Problem. Any video refuses to play sometimes Pls Help
In my case, the Popcorn Hour has recently started to hang at random spots in videos. When I reboot the machine, it will be able to play past those spots. (They're not bad video files.)

It *feels* like a network hiccup that hangs the machine. But, there's absolutely no way for me to debug what's going on because it's completely random and there are no error logs or other traces to inspect.

I'm not even sure where to post the problem!

No, its not a "particular" file.
EVERY SINGLE FILE NO MATTER WHAT TYPE REFUSES TO PLAY.

Then when I restart it, everything plays fine.
This happens nearly everytime I turn on the unit. Oh btw it also refuses to play not only every video file on the hard drive, but also on any usb drive I plug in. Its re-godamn-diculous!

I have the similar problem.

Video playing of AVI Standard Definition file would suddenly stop at random point. Hard reset will enable replay again and past that point.

It started happening in the last few days.

Is this a firmware issue or manufacturing/reliability issue?

ps. I have owned A100 since Feb. It worked great so far until now.

Why could it not be a network or PC issue as well? M$ issued a SMB hotfix recently that has caused problems with Windows PC's.

A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

This type of freeze happened quite often lately and caused A-100 remote lost functionality. So soft reset is NOT possible and I need to pull the power plug many times in a day.

Why is Syabas's NMT designed in this way that its remote will lose control while there is some issue in network? Why can't I just stop the play using the remote?
