RE: How-To: Transfer files via USB slave from PC to NMT
Dear All,
First of all, please do not laugh from any mistakes cause my English is pour ;/ Dear Sirs, I have a huge problem with conecting PH A-200 to PC. I instaled Ext2sfd 0.51 properly, conecting my PHA, launch the program and everything seems to be perfect, I see 4 more partitions from the player, 3 with Ext3 system files and one RAW. Than I am asinging the letters to the all Ext3 partitions by Est2fsd application (F; G; H for examples), I need to do it manually cause it won't do automaticaly. And then whatever I am closing, or leave open the Ext2sfd program, my Windows do not see those particions in my computer??? I do not know what I am doing wrong, my PC has Win. 7 ultimate 32 bit if this will help. I did evertyhing in the same way like on the NMTWiki which looks so easy but... do not work for me ;/ Can anyone help me please cause I want to transfer quite a lot files from my PC into the internal HDD of the player while I cannot ;/ Much appreciate for any help!!! Someone need to has the same problem or I am just a jerk ;/ Have a nice day and I will not try again until you will not help me cause I did everything properly and there is no effect, I just do not want do damage the player cause it was not a cheap, for me of course

RE: How-To: Transfer files via USB slave from PC to NMT
As you are a Windows user ideally you would prefer NTFS over Ext when connecting via USB Slave as that will mean that you do not need the Ext drivers when connecting via USB Slave.
Have you thought about following this WIKI article as it shows you how to do this and solves Ext driver issues:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...e_CSI_Apps You cannot damage the player. You can corrupt the NMT Apps install and thereby lose your data. Another way around is to leave your HDD formatted by your PC with one partition as NTFS. Then simply insert a 4Gb USB stick in the A2x0 and install the NMT Apps on the USB stick. Then you can use USB Slave without the need for any Ext drivers. Finally if you find ext2fsd causes problems then read this thread as there are tips/hints within and most circumstances have been seen before. Look for things like UAC causing problems, try ext2ifs, etc. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: How-To: Transfer files via USB slave from PC to NMT
Dear Chris,
Thanks a lot for your post and now everything is working! I have needed just to change the partition format in Ex2fsd to default, like on the picture on Wiki but no one had written about it before and I am from Poland so this is sometimes difficult to me to looks all the time about something on the foreigners forums. So, reasume, everything is working now perfect and the last thing which I need to figure out is to find some good and easy program to edit the NMJ database on my PC cause if I rescan it on my PH no all the movies has a pictures, previous etc. It can be also my fault cause the name of my files is for ex. Terminator 2 Directors Cut 720p, or Gladiator 720p (lektor). I will just try to change the files names to the normal ones, English and oryginals at all without any additional information and then we will see. If this will not fix the problem... movie name.jpg file into the folder and that is all, I will not have a preview, which can be download somehow by the IMDB ID in but I need to figure it out ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway, thank you very much and this is the best player I have ever had!!! I just wish to find somewhere the alu. case from A-210 and replace it but this is very hard here in my country and I will not give 30 USD for a shipment cause this is too much. Take care and I can only hope to improve my English (sorry for all the mistakes in this text) and help someone in the future, just like you had helped me! |

RE: Transfering files via USB slave from PC to NMT with Windows 7
Hi All,
Recently purchased a popcorn hour A210 with a 2tb hard drive installed. Formatted the hard drive via the wizard and all apps, so now the hard drive is ext3. I want to connect this to my win 7 pc (via usb)to transfer about 350g of movies to the nmt hard drive. I have installed ext2fsd and when I run it I can see the drive Linux with the letter I, however when I go to my computer the drive is not listed. Where am I going wrong- I have read the wiki but still doesn't work. I did transfer some movies via the network but it takes forever. Please help - how can I get windows 7 to see the Linux drive as a usb hard drive. Many Thanks |

herim22, you can format your HDD entirely in NTFS format and then point all the nmt apps to it (being shown afterwards as SATA_DISK). I wrote an how-to, search after my posting
good luck.

RE: How-To: Transfer files via USB slave from PC to NMT
Hi guys, I have a problem when trying to connect my laptop (win7x64) with the pch a-300. The internal hard drive of the pch is formatted in ntfs so the os should be able to get connected instantly to the device but this doesn't happen, in effect from my notebook I couldn't see and browse the pch. Any suggestion? I Exclude some sort of problems of my usb port on the computer
