Purpose: is it to actually add chapters in a movie like found on DVDs, or more for chapters within music videos?

If I can get a playback of an .MKV file to work from within my program (and if I am able to accurately read back the time position of the playback), I can make it a general chapter file creation program as well. I'll look into it over the Christmas holidays...

Is there a place to get the chapter info, sorta like imdb but with chapter info?

Alot of what I have never had chapters, but I'd love to add them knowing the proper locations.

Does anyone know if you can start a movie at a specific point in the movie.

For example you can start a film and the enter 00:30:00 on the remote to skip 30 minutes into the movie.

I'm thining something like play.cgi?movie=film.mkv&timestart=00:30:00

nice now i will be able to add back the chapters to blu-ray rips like the real blu-ray disc i will have do some testing.

At the moment, you'll have to manually mux the chapter file into the .MKV file, but this will be integrated into ChapterMaker in a future upgrade...

I know a lot about chapters in MKV files, but I have no idea about the things you asked.

Anyway, if you wanted to ask me specifically, then a PM would have been more appropriate. If you wanted to ask the entire forum, a new thread would be more appropriate.

But, hey! That's just me trying to keep the threads clean and not being filled up with irrelevant discussions...

No better place than a forum, but as HeartWare indicated it would be even better in a separate thread as it isn't on topic in this thread.

But the answer is no, as far as I know there is no tvid, tag or something to invoke play from a certain time. It would for sure be great to have it for the user apps.

Looks nice your programm but it doesn`t work for me i am working on vista 64 when i drop or select an mkv nothing happened? what is goiing wrong?
