RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.0.1 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Alright guys, the following applications have been converted to the new format as well.
[*] cTorrent (thanks to papka__) [*] Media Tomb UPnP MediaServer [*] Mono.Wrapper [*] NMT_NTFS3G (write on NTFS drives) [*] SysInfo (system information) [*] Udxpy These will appear on the installed tab and will have the new advanced options after reinstall of these applications. The rest will follow later. Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.0.1 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Hi Ger,
First of all, superb what you are doing. Making customisation for Noobs easy. There is a nice seminar called: "Why software Sucks". This is an example of "Why software Rocks!" Second, a question. Currently im running CTorrent installed by your previous update, not your current update ( posted above ). I do not see CTorrent as installed in CSI. Do I need to reinstall it with CSI? Do I need to uninstall CTorrent manually? How do I keep my downloads and progression? Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work! |

Then reboot, install new cTorrent after that open all torrents again in the new client. Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.0.1 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Maybe this is a ctorrent problem, but I did not have this before with C torrent.
As soon as my downloads have completed and are in status seeding. If I remove them by delete torrent ( not data ), the GUI does not work anymore. WGET error and if I try to log in again I get "authentication failed". Please help me. |

Trying to get CSI running on my mac OSX, but it hangs and gives me the coloured beachball.. Any guys did make this work on OSX at all? It looked very promising to the last screen of selecting the application - then it stops..

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.0.1 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
when i was trying to put the HDD to Silence mode manually (plugging it on a PC, going in Ubuntu in Live mode, going in Terminal, etc...) i noticed this hard disk is called "sdb3". ("3" must be because it's the "3rd partition detected" as my 1st hard disk on that PC have 2 EXT3 partitions (40gb for Ubuntu and the other one for Swap files)
So i think some softwares in here are only compatible if the hard disk installed is called "sda" or "hda"! Smartmon Tools, everytime i try to install it on my NMT, it stalls and doesn't install (it seem like the software "freeze" while trying to install and i have to "force close" it in Tasks Manager). I noticed the NMT Community Software Installer (software itself) takes more and more RAM as it tries to install it(when i press Ctrl-Alt-Del for Tasks Manager) I want to use that on my NMT because i SO want to see my HDD temperatures in different situations in there (like when i download torrents and watch videos at the same time, or when i download torrents and copy files from main computer to NMT thru network or thru external HDD.) To change properties on disk level you always use /dev/sdb (like fdisk, hdparm etc). You cannot change acoustic settings on partition level, only on drive level. I've modified the command in such a way that i will auto detect where you HDD can be found and will set the acoustic level there. Regarding memory usage: that is normal, it will cleanup memory when it feels the need to. Ps> smartmon package had a extracting issue, please try again! Have tried on 2 different Macs, same problem. 1.7x works ok. 2.0.1 for windows works under vmware on OS X. Looks like it may be a problem with the OSX package. Mark |

Will be better to move that discussion to cTorrent thread. About deletion - after you get error, you check watch folder and .torrent files was deleted? If you try reconnect - GUI not respond on port 9002? Answer please in ctorrent thread. |
