RE: [CSI] *** UPDATED **** Community Software Installer 2.1.0 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
(05-16-2009 07:05 PM)Angelkiller Wrote: The transmission 1.60 is that a final or a beta version? The version in CSI is a slightly newer version then 1.60. The real version 1.60 doesn't work on NMT because of a bug in 1.60. I think you need to wait for the 1.62 to release because 1.61 also seems to have an issue with peer limitation. Otherwise please use the portable edition. From 2.1.0 and on I will only release portable editions, less problems regarding the clickonce installers. I would suggest removing the link mentioning telnetd in start_app.sh which can be found on the root of you hdd. You can remove the .bin and bin folders as well. Then do a restart of the NMT itself. After restart install the new telnet. That should do the trick. Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

RE: [CSI] *** UPDATED *** Community Software Installer 2.1.0 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Finally, here it is thanks to t0nik (Dmitry Antonov)!
Dropbear SSH server. Installing will take a few minutes to complete Dropbear will generate a new keypair, during install, for optimal security. It will make copies of the keys (the id_rsa_ files) to the root of your harddisk on the nmt, move them to a save location. Use your perferred ssh client and use the ppk file mentioning root to login as root, nmt file to login as nmt. This dropbear includes a very complete busybox and midnight commander. Enjoy! RE: [CSI] *** UPDATED *** Community Software Installer 2.1.0 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Hi All,
Hope someone can help. I have CSI installed and has been running OK. BUT now I cannot get it to connect - fails. I have previously Telnet into NMT to edit the ftpserver to add the changes - as http://www.lundman.net/wiki/index.php/NMT:Ftp advised. I now can see all the files via FTP on the NMT hard drive - BUT permissions seem to be all over the place! Many files are set as 066, 0754, 0755. The Owner / Group being 520 500 or even 0 0 - where I believe the nmt user is 1001 1001. How can I set this up properly so CSI runs and connects OK and I am also allowed to edit files via FTP? Many thanks, ![]() Dave |

RE: [CSI] *** UPDATED *** Community Software Installer 2.1.0 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Added MPD, a music player daemon which will play music on the NMT and can be controlled from a client on a remote computer.
MPD will index the music files and displays album art. Nice solution until syabas finally comes up with a decent music player for the NMT. MPD package was compiled by gwillem. Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

Playing itself is done on the NMT itself. RE: [CSI] *** UPDATED *** Community Software Installer 2.1.0 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Hardware: PCH A-110
Drive: WD 1T 10EADS Fimeware: 01-17-090201-15-POP-403 NMT: 00-17-090115-15-POP-403 CSI: 2.0.1 Phenomenon: CSI does can install telnetd to the A-110, but can not install smartmon tools, it prompts success installed but you could not find it in the “installed”, neither in the PCH Did some one come across this problem, or someone can provide smarctl binary for A-110, thanks in advance Since most of us are concerned in the Load_Cycle_Count problems of WD GP drives. Now I can tell wdidle3.exe definitely works on WD10EADS, I changed the idle time to 25.5 second, now I need smarctl to confirm it. By the way, who can tell me how to change the telnet password, I used the “passwd” command , it doesn’t work. --brand |

These are not displayed on the installed apps. Use telnet to start smartmon bins. If I am correct they should be installed in /share/bin Telnet doesn't support passwords, correct me if I am wrong.
