RE: [CSI] **** UPDATED **** Community Software Installer 1.7.1

Thanks, regarding your questions: 1. A Clean and Deep Clean will reinstall the default NMT Applications delivered by Syabas. 2. The NMT will download the NMT apps itself, (or via USB). No need to download any files yourselves. 3. Most likely not: after cleaning the standard transmission will be installed (1.22), after that you can upgrade to any version you feel like. Please note: no clean action or firmware upgrade action will remove any files from you HDD. The Deep Clean will move all non-default folders and files from your HDD folder to a new folder called CleanBackup. So in short: Restart = Just a restart of NMT Clean = Reinstallation of syabas' NMT Apps, will not touch your media files at all Deep Clean = Same as Clean but also moves any non-default file and folders to CleanBackup folder, except the Movie, Music, Download, File, Photo, Podcast folders. Install firmware = Just installing new firmware, will not touch media files, nmt applications. You will have to download the correct firmware zip file yourself. All clean options will also uninstall themes and custom menu's. So in effect: Clean = Remove any customizations and go back to default applications Deep Clean = Same as Clean but also removes remaining files from customizations from HDD Firmware upgrade = Just installing (newer, older, reinstall) firmware Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |
