The normal NMT apps (ftp etc...) were working fine, I didn't even need to reboot. Once the appinit folder was removed and I re-installed telnetd, it showed up the other installed apps too, problem solved. Have sent you a donation as a thank you as it is much appreciated. |

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.1.5 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
I just tried to install the Transmission client through the NMT community software installer (OSX) to no avail, it seems that the directories aren't updated but that's just my guess.
But thanks for putting in all this effort to make Transmission available on the popcorn hour, they should give you royalty! ![]() [quote='Ger Teunis' pid='111785' dateline='1230046259'] The NMT Community Software Installer is a generic installer for 3rd party NMT applications. These 3rd party applications will allow you extend the functionality of your NMT. |

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.1.5 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
I didn't have a previous version installed. I bought my PCH and installed all the relevant software yesterday. I got a 404 error in the message box, since I have a Macintosh I switched over to windows and installed it. That worked so I guess something isn't in tune in the Mac client.

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.1.5 (Windows/Linux/OSX)
Hi,
I want to ask one question before trying to install custom theme and wallpaper. If I have installed custom theme and wallpaper, when I uninstall CSI will rollback the theme and wallpaper to the default one that came from NMT Firmware? Thanks |

Perhaps that is what you where experiencing. That is correct, it will revert to the default menu or theme. Just use Extra->Uninstall->Theme or Custom menu and restart the NMT. I have updated the mvpmcx2 CSI script to insert and run an optional script which can be used to supplement the CSI script. If you want it the file you need to create is /share/Apps/mvpmcx2/bin/useropt.sh I have tested it for running ether-wake, mounting DVD shares for GB-PVR and even starting mvpmc2 with command line options. If you do start mvpmcx2 in the script, be sure to end the line with an & (ampersand). Martin |

I didn't even think it was possible. He has opened up GBPVR to so many NMT users by changing the client installation from a complex black-art process involving more skills than many have time for, to point and click. Martin |

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.1.5 (Win/Linux/OSX/Web/NMT)
Having approached this the "wrong way round" i.e. from a working GBPVR configuration to looking at using CSI, I find it a little daunting contemplating reading 82 pages of posts before taking the plunge ....

RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.1.5 (Win/Linux/OSX/Web/NMT)
Hi Ger,
Is it possible to add poweroff as a feature (this was described described in this thread) to your fantastic tool. So after doing some "maintenance" actions via CSI at the attic (zolder) I do not have to walk downstairs to the living room to poweroff either manually or via the remote controller. Thanks in advance |

No problem, could you add an issue for it here: http://www.nmtinstaller.com/issues Then you are able to track this issue and I am able to give any feedback. License issue MPD Please read. Sorry guys, the Music Player Daemon (MPD) has been removed from the repository. There was a discussion going regarding the GPL license whether the current binary was breaking it or not, which we could not solve or agree on at short notice. Perhaps an interpretation issue, but the MPD developers spoke. We are not allowed to let the software to be linked to the system libraries of NMT. Most likely nothing is going to happen, but to make sure; I did not add it to the repository knowingly it was breaking the GPL. Still not convinced it is breaking if I read the GPL, it's all about interpretation of “System Libraries”. I would suggest uninstalling MPD as I am not able to revert the distribution which already have taken place. I hereby declare that I cannot take responsibility for current installations or remaining installations it is up to you, the user, to uninstall MPD. Please contact me via email for PM for any followup questions. Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

Okay, make sure you have the FTP server enabled. If that doesn't work remove the folder Apps/AppInit and reinstall something (anything) using CSI then reboot. Perhaps that might help.
