I have a few ideas, but currently no time to implement them. Moreover, last.fm has recently changed their API (again) and they are going to disable the old API (the one used by the script) soon. Once this happens, I'll probably be forced to rewrite the entire script from scratch. I'll wait with new features until then.

Of course, feel free to contribute if you have some time -- you can modify the script as much as you want.

Bad news are sometimes followed by good news. It`s a good thing, that you won't give up your project although the guys from Last.fm apparently don't want others to youse the api. Or what are the reasons for changing it so often?!

can anyone please give me a quick shout if this plugin still works?

I have the slight suspicion that it doesnt work anymore and that currently there is no support (or plugin) for personalized last.fm usage on PCH/NMT. Is my suspicion true?

any quick hints are highly appreciated! maybe you can point me in the right direction..

The current nmt-version of mpd (0.15.9) has support for playing lastfm urls.

- Adding them requires using mpc through telnet interface, but you can save them as playlists for easy access afterwards.
- You wil need to install mpd, check the mpd thread
- Future versions of mpd (0.16 alpha is out but not yet ported to nmt) will also support displaying the right metadata.

There is also lastfm proxy, a python script that works with the current api and has the capability to display metadata correctly. It seems to work it with mpd, no clue if it works with gaya (although from my limited understanding technically it should).
