No sound on spdif with new and previous firmware

For some files I have no sound on spdif output. It happens for the newest and the previous one firmware. On firmware from August it runs ok.

I tried different options. Now I have, just as You have written (correct me if I misunderstood):
DTS - Digital (RAW)
AC3 - Digital (RAW)
AAC - Analog (PCM)
WMA Pro - Analog (PCM)

No sound.

This is as it should be - so all good here.

The problem seem to be related to the DVD having 2channel mpeg audio instead of the normally used ac3 or dts
These are not commercial DVD's (commercial dvd's normally dont use mpeg audio) - where did this come from ?

I dont have any dvd's with mpeg audio lying around, but I can author one myself pretty quick and test if I have the same problem.

These are DVDs made by myself with MemoriesOnTv. Iwould be gratefull if You found a solution. I do not have original films and photos I used to make these DVDs so there is no change to create them again ...

You can rewrite the structure using a reathouring tool if something is wrong in the dvd structure causing this, you dont need to original films/photos for that. But let me test it out and get back to you weather its a bug related to mpeg audio, or its something in the structure and how to rewrite it if so.

Played with no problem through spdif output to my receiver ergo cant be a bug related to mpeg audio or spdif.

That happened to me as well sometimes, had to reboot to get the sound back.

Spawn, if its not a bug so there is a problem with my files. You have written about rewriting the structure of DVDs. Can You tell me what tool I should use? I will try to work with my files to make them play correctly.

MPEG is a bit more popular in PAL-land, isn't it? I think I own all of one PAL DVD, so I dunno from experience. ;-)

Try this, pkoziej:
Use VOBEdit to demux the streams, and IFOEdit to re-mux them. There are a ton of guides on the 'net on how to do this. Ask if you need help.

Also, you could always demux it and remux to MKV or something instead. Depends on if you're concerned about it actually being a DVD, or just want to watch it on a PCH.

Try running it through makeMKV and see if the MKV plays with audio?
