[SUBTITLE] Subtitles show with SMB, not DLNA
I had the same problem others are having with subtitles not showing. They were in .srt format, and I converted the text encoding to ascii but still no joy. My media files are stored on a NAS (A Buffalo LinkStation Mini) that my A110 is connected to via ethernet. The NAS is DNLA certified and I was using the DLNA client on the A110 to access my files.
When I browsed the NAS via the network browser using SMB and selected the film that way, the subtitles worked fine. Does DLNA not allow you to use subtitles, or is there some other way of supplying subtitles required to allow them to show using DLNA? Anyway, hope the above is helpful to anyone else not getting subtitles working. |
