Hi,

I have written a dynamic YAMJ server for Windows. It uses the XML and Images of YAMJ but composes the index and details pages dynamically.
This has some advantages as described below. It also has a build in Music Jukebox and Photo browser. And to top it off NMTServer can stream the audio and video files to the PCH. Give it a try and let me known.

BoxCovers Addon GUI v1.35- Feb 5, 2011
The addon can be used stand-alone, you do need NMTServer to use it. It can be used for a plain YAMJ setup as well. Although it's a GUI you can still use in your scripts, see the help file.

Features
NMTServer is a dedicated http server for use YAMJ xml data files. And has a build in Music Jukebox with MP3 scanner. Instead of serving the static HTML files generated by YAMJ, NMTSERVER generates the html files dynamically which has the following advantages:

• Sorting on movie release date, imdb rating, title, file date or a mixed mode based on release date and imdb rating.
• Hiding watched movies.
• Family Filter
• Grouping on Boxed sets/TV Series or Music Artist
• Stacked search, e.g. show all Horror Movies from Japan in HD quality
• Tabbed skin
• In the movie detail pages you can drill down on Actors, Director and Company.
• Switch the left menu: genres, title search, release year, cerification/imdb rating or no menu at all.
• Zoomed thumbnails, instead of a normal yellow rectangle the selected movie is zoomed
• Display Fanart with music playback.
• Switch thumbnail size
• Flagging and Tagging, advanced search
  

The main program has the following features:

• YAMJ Gui, launch YAMJ and edit the properties
• Build music database with MP3/Flac/Ogg/Wma scanner
• Manage the XML files (Edit, Cleanup).
• Automation: Launch YAMJ at a specific time
• Generate .nfo files (txt and xbmc).
• Stream Music files to the PCH, no need to setup a share on the PCH
• Stream Video files (except .iso and \VIDEO_TS)
• With the build in Media Browser you can view your photos or launch a slide show, futher more it allows you to start your (home) movies which are in the YAMJ library.
  

On the movie detail pages you can:

• Toggle on/off the poster image.
• Zoom fanart.
• Jump to file using the nmt file browser.
• Jump to the parent directory of the file.
• Delete the info generated by YAMJ.
• Mark a movie as watch/not watched.
• Flag a movie with 4 different flags
• Next/previous movie preserving the custom sort order.
  

Requirements
MS-Windows PC/Server. Working YAMJ setup, version 1.0.16 or up. Only for HD Displays.

Quick Setup

1. Unzip the nmtserver package to e.g c:\moviedb.
2. Launch the main program NMTServer.exe
3. Goto the YAMJ control tab and setup YAMJ, select the properties and libraries file.
4. Press the test button on the settings tab to see if everythings works OK.
5. Add a link in your index.htm on the Popcorn Hour to the server http://YOUR.PC/
   Or add a WebService on the Popcorn hour:
   Name1: NMTServer
   URL1: [The IP adres of your PC]
6. For the Music setup, a button to the help file is provided on the Music JukeBox tab. Please read and follow the instructions.

- hiding watched movies
- separate tv series from movies
- only show the first season of a tv serie
- switch from large thumbs to small thumbs
- in the movie detail pages you can drill down on Actors, Director or
company

On the movie detail pages you can:
- toggle on/off the poster image (yellow button)

- jump to file using the nmt file browser (red button)
- jump to the parent directory of the file (green button)
- delete the info generated by YAMJ

The index pages and detail pages are based on the skins of YAMJ, so you can always change what you don't like.

Requirements

Only tested on Vista, but other Windows version will most likely work to.

Setup
-----
1. Unzip the nmtserver package to e.g c:\moviedb
2. Copy your YAMJ data files to c:\moviedb\data\ (or redirect the output of
YAMJ to this folder)
3. Edit the Moviefiles section in c:\moviedb\config.ini
So that NMTServer can translate the NMT file paths to the PC file path.
4. Launch NMTServer
5. Browse to http://127.0.0.1 on your PC to test it (you can change the default
port in de config.ini)
6. Add a link in your index.htm on the Popcorn Hour to the server http://YOUR.PC/

The data directory of YAMJ can collect a lot of outdated xml files, with the "Cleanup files" button you can delete old xml files. But make sure you first edit the Moviefiles section in the config.ini.

The index file is an alternative menu for the PCH which you can setup yourself. You can read all about in the "Skin/Theme"section of this forum.
The html code would look something like this:

But if you are unfamiliar with this it's easier to add a Web Service. This can be done using the Web Services menu of the PCH. For the name of this web service you can choose anything you want. The URL is the IP adres of your PC e.g. 192.168.1.100.

I'm afraid not, at least not written by me, it's written in Delphi so there is no easy porting solution.

First of all, thanks for this awesome app.

Everything works great except for the details page. The text does not align on top and when I press the blue button (to change to fanart) I only get a black screen.



I wonder if me using yamj v1.0.14 beta got anything to do with it? Or maybe some wrong settings in yamj?

This is absolutely fantastic, thanks a lot!
I love the improved sorting of movies and the clickable actors and directors' names.

If, in the index, the covers zoomed when selected, it would really be the best jukebox ever!
