I feel like a real dummy. I thought I can still use custom skins with NMTserver, but from the looks of the screenies, it runs its own skin and that is it...explains a bit.

I'm am not actively maintaining NMTServer anymore, but I still use it everyday. So if it breaks down due to some incompatibility with YAMJ you can expect an update. Minor bugs - like the one you mention - will probably never be resolved. My advice is to just mark it as watched when you have watched every episode in the BDMV.

ithiel, you're still alive! If it's not getting any love any more, would you consider making NMTServer open source? I still use it every day too. I keep trying to shift over to the Flash solutions but every time I do, they remind me that NMTServer still blows them out of the water for features and ease of use. I'd love to be able to tinker with the basic view templates and that sort of thing but it seems that kind of stuff is stashed away in the executable

It indeed runs its own custom skin, this skin you can customize since the source of the skin is included, but I would not recommend it since there is no documentation or support whatsoever and NMTServer is in fact an end-of-life product with minimal support.

In my daytime job I'am a professional IT consultant working for big companies, if I would make the source available my customers would have a hart attack and possible fire my because the source of NMTServer is a real mess. The code is really just a bundle of hacks.

So no way I make it open source.

Damn, I had to try! You still remain my personal hero of the NMT community for making my Jukebox what it is. I'm so disappointed that Syabas removed HTML support in the 300 series so I'm just hoping my A-200 lives forever and I can keep NMTServer going! The flash solutions are coming on but they're still severely lacking in speed, features and general usability whe compared with NMTServer.

Have problems to get sets fanart to show for the movies.
I have Set_Set_name_1.jpg and Set_Set_name_1.fanart.jpg, but fanart is
not taken, it i copied to YAMJ folder and all, but nmtserver takes one from the movies???

Hi Ithiel,
I'am a big fan of Dynamic Yamj, the main reason is the ability to hide watched movies. I don't want to spend the night to find an unwatched movie in 10 Terras of mkvs. Another reason is the music jukebox which recently has trouble to read some files when some others just play fine. All files are encoded mp3 and play fine through the Pch directory. Any idea?

I'm new here on the forums and it's my first time working with the nmtserver. I've got it running allready and it looks great. I've just got one minor issue.

......i've still got an CRT TV.....

Thisone is capable of displaying the HD skin from NMT server without any problem. e.g. it's 720p capable.
But when browsing through the index the movienames are displayed in yellow at the bottom of the screen. The lower half of the info there is unreadable because it's not displayed. Is it somehow possible to change the position of the text just a littlebit. There's still room between the thumbnails and the moviename so I think it should be possible. I just don't know where to look.

this happens to me too, on my PJ (which is 1080p)

I think I might have a workaround for you. If you edit the nmtserver config.ini you should find a couple of lines

showsearch2=1

change them to

showsearch2=0

and that removes the search counter at the top of the screen, which should bring everything up far enough to be able to read the movie name/details.

You will need to press [home] on your popcorn to refresh the jukebox, but it doesn't look like nmtserver even requires a restart to detect the change to the ini (nice work).

I still use NmtseRver it's the best program around. I have an appletv jail broken with xbmc,but NmtseRver is my favorite hands down. Thanks for the heads up on the 300 not supporting HTML . No 300 in my future.

Thanks for the reply. This indeed does the trick and gives me a good workaround. Although there was no need to alter the .ini file.
Just pressing 36 on the remote did the same. Pressing 36 again brings back the search counter.

could you help me with this please, i tried to run this and combine with Media Center Master when i hit start the NMJ it said the the YAMJ batch is not found:C\YAMJ\properties\moviejukebox.bat
but i already have in the YAMJ folder already, when i copy the .bat file to foder properties and it stop working,

hi all, longtime nmtserver user with a weird problem

when i boot up my pc, about half the time, nmtserver starts up automatically and my web link to the nmtserver 'page' ie my movies, works 100%

the other half of the time on boot i get the below message

5:36:06 AM: Cheking for new version.
5:36:07 AM: Error :HTTP/1.1 302 Found
5:36:12 AM: Start load movies.
5:38:06 AM: 2825 xml files read. (115.60 sec.)

AND whenever i get the above message, my bookmarked web link http://127.0.0.1:1212/ doesnt work, it says page not found. if i go into nmtserver, go to settings tab and choose restart server port then it works just fine again

its so weird for a couple of reasons- the error message above doesn't read like it has anything to do with whether things are working, it reads like it just couldnt find a new version. also, this only happens about 50 to 60 percent of the time...

any suggestions? its not the end of the world but annoying just the same

edit: tried changing port number, but no luck. i wonder if its something that windows is doing where maybe ports aren't yet opened or available in the boot process, and nmtserver is trying to check that too soon? no idea is this comments makes sense but this whole strange issue has got me wondering!
