Hello All,

I have installed ExtendedGaya-Extended v0.4 via NMT Installer (Community Software Installer) . Apparently it seems to be installed perfectly fine.

However it is not working, either when selected via the shortcut in the Web Services menu or via selecting the index.html file in the harddisk folder structure. It always says 'Request Cannot Be Processed" .

It is installed in the /Apps/Extendedgayaextended folder. I have also tried installing Extended Gaya and it is having the same behavior.

The firmware version is EG-M31B-M33A-M34A-FW20090204 and the NMT Applications version installed is 00-17-090115-15-EGR-403.

Any help is highly appreciated.

You must start myiHome in setup / NMT Application for ExtendedGaya-Extended to work.

This script it awesome, i've been waiting for something like this for a long time.

Is there a way to auto sort all pages to Date Decending by default?

Also, is it possible to have it start up in a pre defined location instead of the root of the PCH? *EDIT * figured this part out... needed to change one of the paths (the $path line), and it starts where i want it to now...

so, still trying to figure out the auto date decenting by default thing...

also. how do the "bookmarks" work

I see there's code for each colored button, but pressing them doesnt seem to do anything.

What a great application!

But I miss some DVD-support. It doesn't seem to play .iso-files, and I would also like support of playing VIDEO_TS-folders. Would it be possible to add this in a future release?

Good job Delphy. ExtendedGaya-Extended doesn't appear to recognize .m2ts files. When clicking on a .m2ts file for playback, an error is returned: Request cannot be processed. This doesn't happen on the OEM syabas version of Gaya. Is this a known issue?

When I browsed my files using ExtendedGayaExtended I got an error when trying to enter certain directories with special characters. The following patch fixed it for me:

Thanks again for this great php script. I am using it a lot and find it much better than the original gaya interface.

I am actually not using the current version 0.4 but one with a few minor changes that i like, so i felt like telling you about the changes.

One of them i already mentioned in this thread earlier, but i guess you didn't like it. It was about not being able to got to the previous page by just clicking the "left" button while in the left column. I find that pretty intuitive.

Another thing i changed is a mix-mode sorting for files and directories. Obviously not everyone would like this, but at least for the "date descending" method i prefer it this way, so that i can see newly downloaded stuff quickly, be it a file or folder.

The last thing is a bug i believe to have found recently. I was unable to view directories that have only numbers in their name. I found out about this when i had a folder called "24" and it wouldn't show, well it showed as "Internal Disk", which was inaccessible.
I found out that this is related to the merging of the arrays of the directories and the files. This happens in the sortfilter.dat. After changing the following line:

the folder did show correctly.


Dunno if that is helpful for anyone, but wanted to let you know...


Ah, i forgot something: Has anyone experienced that certain (maybe even all) .iso files will not play correctly? When starting with the original gaya interface they work, though they do show a different splash screen (the one from the bootup) which led me to believe that they are somehow called differently??

Hello All,

Is someone working to improve this extremely useful piece of software. I have got a couple of suggestions/bugs which I can share, based on my daily usage with a sizable collection of Video on my NAS drive.

Would appreciate if the original creator or some wizard can keep adding more functionality to it cause it offers a much easier way to browse to your desired files.

Hello,

I was just looking for the same solution. Unfortunately I know nothing about PHP scripts or how to edit them.

Some fixes to EGE 0.4 are needed as per the following :

1. Date Ascending or Date Descending sorting only works for the first page (showing 24 entries). If I press left or right button to go to the next page, the date sort resets and goes back to alphabetical sorting.

2. This is even the same , if I put any alphabetical filter first, and then place the sort criteria. If the alphabetical index is more than one page , then as soon as I browser forward or backward, the sort is removed.

3. If no filter or sort selection is given, then when browsing the any media collection, a first page is shown with default alphabetical sorting. A next page selection button in the lower right corner, if i go further to the next (2nd) page by pressing the right button, then there is no previous page button shown. If I go to the 3rd page then only can I see a next and previous page button. So practically I can only go back till the 2nd page (Which is treated as a first page). I cannot come back to the very first original page generated. (In my collection there is media with names starting from a number, these are sorted on the very first page by default before any alphabets).

4. In my collection movies are placed in the folders (with the same movie name, usually one movie per folder). If for instance, I browse to page number 10, and go inside any folder to see and select the movie file to be played, it plays fine. However when I stop the movie, I am placed in the same movie folder, with movie file shown, now If i want to go back to the parent folders list on the previous page (Page 10 where I was), I cannot go back. The only way to go back is to select the parent folder from the bread-crumb list shown above. If I select the bread-crumb parent folder, I am pushed back to page 1, and hence have to browse back again to page 10. This become painstakingly boring when I have a large collection and have to skip forward to all the pages.

I hope I was able to correctly explain the observations noted.

If anyone has been able to fix them then I would be happy to get the guidance.

I have sent you numerous PMs as you are the only one who has replied to my post and as you have indicated that you have fixed problems 1 - 3 yourself.

If you have already fixed the problems 1-3 then I would be most thankful if you please post your working EGE version over here and guide me how to install it. Please also look into problem 4 whenever you have some time to see if it can be fixed.

I would be most thankful if you can post (attach) your working version over here so all of us can benefit. If there is some specific way to install it then please brief it over here as well.
