RE: [A110] How to change the HDD standby time

When mono starts the screensaver it issues the command 'hdparm -y /dev/hda'. If you want to disable that just remove the hdparm symlink and use '/bin/busybox hdparm' whenever you need to use hdparm in a script Journey, Can you expand on how to disable the spindown on screensaver? Is this something I would add to the line in my startup file? I changed the spindown time to 30 minutes, but when the screensaver kicks in, the hard drive now spins down then up again really quick, then waits the required amount of time. Thanks. |

RE: [A110] How to change the HDD standby time
This fix has now stopped working on my box.
Weird. I've checked and it's still in the startup script but my hdd still powers down after 5 mins. The screen saver doesn't appear to be the cause of the problem. Any thoughts anyone? |
