MLMJ trouble (Index file)
Hi,

I am having trouble transfering the HTML files to the PCH-110. I get the error message :"Mj100_Index.xls could not be found".

I have made an archieve of all movies in Movie Collector 6, and the problem happens when trying to export the files. I am using the guide from www..treasure-cove.net.

(My video archieve is on the PC)

Anyone?

RE: MLMJ trouble (Index file)
If the file cannot be found, then you probably "extracted the jukebox files" to teh wrong folder on your PC.
Make certain that you export ALL files to the MOvie Collector Templates folder.

I have downloaded the My_Lil_Movie_Jukebox_rev6(2).zip - ZIP archive again and unpacked it in the template folder. BUT that spesific file does not excist... Even looking into your file still zipped, its not there. What I am missing?

the file MJ100_Index_Start.xsl file is the file that gets modified to your specs, then copied over to the MJ100_Index.xsl file

OK.

I must be the dumbest IT-specialist in the world, but I still not able to get it working ;o)

The message appear when I force the exporter to use the NMT HD template. If i "define" another template it generates the html files with the movies in a separeate folder - BUT dont export anyting to the NMT.

Based on your guess... Where do you think the problem lies? My guess is that I have wrong links between the PC and popcorn...

RE: MLMJ trouble (Index file)
I Meant Movie Jukebox NMT not the SD one...

Anyway - Finally was able to export html files to the PCH. The set of html files with the index.html is on the correct folder on the PCH. SO when I start the index file I get a GUI that looks terrible, but at least its working. The challange is still that the export program give the error message: "cant find the Mj100_Index.xls" when I pick "Movie Jukebox NMT" in the index template on MOC. (So I use a generic template...)

Seems like I am the only one with this problem, so I will try to re-install one more time

RE: MLMJ trouble (Index file)
I have a same trouble with MLMJ - "Mj100_Index.xls could not be found".

I’ve read the detailed instruction on http://www.treasure-cove.net/install.htm and did all step by step.

1. Install Movie Collector Pro 5.6.2 (Registered)
2. Unpack all files from My_Lil_Movie_Jukebox_rev6.zip to template folder of Movie Collector
3. Run Movie_Jukebox_SETUP_123108.exe, say “Yes” and the message appears that all done well.
4. Run Movie Collector…. in one word - Step 7 from instruction.

And after that program give the error message: "can’t find the Mj100_Index.xls"

P.S.
1. My Documents folder path is G:\Docs\Docs (redirect in system setup of Windows XP)
2. Movie Collector folder path is C:\Program Files\Collectorz.com\Movie Collector
3. Movie Collector Templates folder path is G:\Docs\Docs\Movie Collector\Templates

RE: MLMJ trouble (Index file)
I'm just guessing, ...but it has probably got something to do with the non-standard location of the My Documents path ...
Re-do everything to C: and you should be good to go.

A note to newbies, ... when you are first installing and getting setup with Movie Collector and MLMJ, .... keep everything "standard" , ... do not change things around, ... at first. ie install the programs to their "natural" location at first ... just so you can follow the directions and get everything working ..... THEN, ... THEN, .. later you can try to move folders around... but remember , get it working on your main C drive first. (and No, .. I'm NOT a full-time programmer, ... or all-omniscient either, .. so I imagine that I didn't think of every possible iteration of the software to make it foolproof. I do know this though, ... if you follow my directions and install the programs to all the 'standard' C:drive locations,,,,, the program WIILL work and work great!)

RE: MLMJ trouble (Index file)
Your software looks great! But I still can’t do this with my MoC films base. I’ve changed the My documents path to default Windows XP path, reinstall MoC and your instructions (http://www.treasure-cove.net/install.htm ) had been done very carefully. When I try to export to html the message about Mj100_Index.xls appears again. MoC 5.6.2 (Registered) MoC 6.1 (Trial) – the same problem.
What am I doing wrong and where I can get this MJ100_Index.xml !!!
PLS Help!!!!

RE: MLMJ trouble (Index file)
Dear Allen!

I’ve followed you recommendation:
1. Unistall MoC 6.1.1 Trial
2. Clear all folders related to MoC 6.1.1
3. Clear all registry entries related to MoC 6.1.1 and Collectorz.com
4. Install MoC 5.6.2 (Registered) Folder: C:\Program Files\Collectorz.com\Movie Collector (Default Path)
5. Go to the Default Templates path of MoC: C:\Documents and Settings\Andrei\My Documents\Movie Collector\Templates
6. Copy and Unzip My_Lil_Movie_Jukebox_rev6.zip (from your site) in this folder
7. Close the MoC
8. Run Movie_Jukebox_SETUP_123108.exe and in program setup window (English / Yes / Yes / Yes) press “OK” and in a second the message appears “Setup finished (All done with My Lil Movie Jukebox SETUP!)” and press “OK”
9. Run MoC 5.6.2 (Registered) go to the File/Export to/HTML... In a “Export to HTML” window:
Tab “General” – as is MoC defaults
Tab “Index Template” – Select from list: Movie Jukebox NMT
Tab “Details Template” – Create Detail Pages: Movie Jukebox NMT
Press “Export” button and:

First window appears: Destination folder “C:\Documents and Settings\Andrei\My Documents\Movie Collector\Export does not exist. Do you want to create it?” Press “Yes” and after that second window appears: File C:\Documents and Settings\Andrei\My Documents\Movie Collector\Templates\MJ100_Index.xsl could not be found” Press “OK”

After that I go to the folder “C:\Documents and Settings\Andrei\My Documents\Movie Collector\Export – its EMPTY!

So I can’t solve this problem yet!

P.S. Maybe me to try “dance with Tambourine around the Computer” Smile

You're NOT supposed to PRESS The Export button here ...
Please RE-READ the directions and FOLLOW precisely!!!!!

Yes, the MJ100_Index could NOT be found because you haven't run the EXPORT program yet (this isn't the EXPORT button in Movie Collector)
The program is the Movie_Jukebox_EXPORT_021309.exe prograam!!
The exporrt program "makes" the MJ100_Index.xsl file ....

All you need to do is "sober up" Big Grin and then re-read the directions and follow the instructions!!!
