RE: On-Demand network share mounting
This program doesn't have any method to interact with an index.htm file, it only automounts videos on demand not files/folders. If you put your jukeboxes on the internal hard disk and point your kodeske index to the jukeboxes on the hard disk then that should work fine, the shares will be auto-mounted as necessary when you try and play videos from the jukebox

I cant really put to many of my movies and such on the NMT itself as they dont make a big enough HDD, lol I am at 2.6 TB atm and growing almost daily. |

Yes you can keep movies where ever you want... but you wanna create the jukebox on your HDD

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
Hey thanks for the info guys. I would have never thought that I could just have the jukebox files on the NMT while having the movies on the network share. Everything is working the way I want it to now.
One last question though. Because I still dont really understand the difference, Should the icon/link on the main index file point to Code: file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/HARD_DISK/Video/Kids/Code: http://localhost.drives:8883/HARD_DISK/Video/Kids/Code: file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/HARD_DISK/Video/Kids/ |

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
The second(file://) is preferable although you might need index.htm at the end, as then the files are loaded directly from disk, you only need the webserver for cgi(which yamj doesn't use). In practice i think they should both work.

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
That would be correct. This only works properly when the jukeboxes are stored on the internet hard drive, and the videos are on multiple network shares. I've seen this question a few times so updating the first post to reflect this.

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
As it relates to this program yes...
But in terms of the jukebox itself....no only the path is different. Pannasonic Plasma 50" -->HK254-->Emotiva xpa-5 & upa-2 A100 w/ 500gb HDD, A200 w/ mn100, c200 w/ 2.5" 250gb Calm 2.1, YAMJ - Redefined 1.8a skin, Music Jukebox 8 WHS ex490 w/ 2.5tb's |

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
Just installed this on my A100...seems to be working fine. Took forever for the PCH to reboot though and my YAMJ menu is slower than creeping jesus. Is this normal or maybe just happens the first time the program mounts a share? Played the first movie I tried but I'm still watching it so I can't say if the YAMJ navigation speed is still slow or not. I'm not complaining at all...using this sure beats having to go hit the share manually and then run a movie from YAMJ.

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
It's definitely slower on mine....even after I stopped the movie and navigated to a different YAMJ page. The PCH itself took at least 2X longer to reboot. I was actually wondering if it was hung up. Not sure what FW I have on it but I believe its the latest. Maybe I goofed the install somehow (installed from USB stick)? Once the message came up that said my system would now automount I waited a minute or so paying attention to the light on the LED stick to be sure it wasn't being accessed....and then I did the power/eject type of reboot. As I said, it took a long time and I could hear the internal HDD doing a lot of work. Does the install do a reboot on it's own and I jumped the gun, or does it just sit there dumb waiting for you to do something?

RE: On-Demand network share mounting
nah, i don't think it reboots on its own.
I might try rebooting the machine again and see what happens Pannasonic Plasma 50" -->HK254-->Emotiva xpa-5 & upa-2 A100 w/ 500gb HDD, A200 w/ mn100, c200 w/ 2.5" 250gb Calm 2.1, YAMJ - Redefined 1.8a skin, Music Jukebox 8 WHS ex490 w/ 2.5tb's |
