RE: Oversight Jukebox V20091031-3b (scan fix for USA/Canada users)
@norek - not quite sure what you mean - maybe this is a new feature of the unpacking scripts for nzbget 0.7 ? The Oversight scripts work with nzbget v0.5.1 so may not take advantage of any newer nzbget features.
I suspect nzbget will only display par status if it is doing the parcheck (and not the post processing script).
The oversight script is designed to work with older version of nzbget that comes with the firmware. This older version of nzbget does not have the ""unrar before par" feature that is important on the NMT platform. Thus the unpak script has to take over the par repair in order to attempt "unrar before par". So the par repair status is not fully known to nzbget.
I was really hoping that the NMT apps would one day, come with a newer nzbget so that I could remove some features in the script that are only there for older versions. But this is less likely with the sterling work by hugbug and Ger in supporting the NMT platform. Give syabas more time to focus on more important things I guess Smile. As the script works at present I dont want to spend too much time implementing different functions for different versions of nzbget.
You may be able to use the catalog.sh from within the standard postprocess.sh. This may give you what you want.

@discuit - The CSI option is obviously a known issue, and not really a big deal. You probably wouldnt have found the zip without reading the note that it is a know issue! But you'll have to elaborate on "it completely breaks nzbget and I have to completely clean the popcorn"
I'm pretty sure you dont have to go that far. Did you try oversight uninstall followed by nzbget re-install?
It's working for quite a few others, so If you state your exact issue , with logs and details, than maybe I can help, otherwise for other unrar options maybe ask in a thread with a wider audience? I'm not aware of any. Apart from running an external tv renamer of some kind. Some of the YAMJ users may have other approaches?

Actually, I have also been having issues with nzbget post processing.
I haven't mentioned it yet because I've had other problems with my nmt, so I've been trying to fix that first and I haven't had a chance to investigate the nzbget problems. In case you want to look into it in the meantime, I had problems when the files were finished downloading; it would start the post process, and finish it without doing anything... I forget what the message was exactly.. it said something about not being able to access apps/oversight/tmp, or it not existing...? It would then put the nzb on pause but not remove it from the list. If I enabled it again, it would give me the same results. I was able to force the post process to start by fiddling with things (pausing/starting/shutting down the server/restarting it), but I forget what I actually made it work, and didn't have time to duplicate what I had done. I also found that when restarting the nmt and/or nzbget, it would at first show all sorts of nzbs that were already downloaded and finished, and it would not start downloading (it had the current nzb listed at the top as downloading, but the rate was 0kb/s.). I had to shut down the server and restart it everytime for it to work.

My sister is getting married, so I don't think I'll have time to even touch the nmt until next week, but when I do I'll let you know the exact problems are.

Hi Lordy,

Have always worked fine with Oversight, but with the latest versions, it doesn't find/store all my movies.

I'm now on V20091102.

I've looked into the log file and it isn't "storing" some of my files, see below.

Has it to do with some rights, because I am downloading and let everything done by oversigt/nzbget.

Thanks

You can already do that already also.

Just change the web service as before but use:
http://127.0.0.1:8883/oversight/oversight.cgi?_tf=M for Movies
http://127.0.0.1:8883/oversight/oversight.cgi?_tf=T for TV

What you could do to decide what you want for your default is access from your PC and then when you get the screen you want to start with then make a note of the url.

So if it was
http://<nmt address>:8883/oversight/oversight.cgi?_G=Comedy&_tf=M&p=0&s=_T (Comedy Movies order by title) you would use:
http://127.0.0.1:8883/oversight/oversigh...M&p=0&s=_T for the web service.

I do have a problem editing the url. I have an M34A and I cannot find & on the keypad :-(
I have changed the url to bring it up in name sort mode but cannot combine it with show TV only.

@salopian
Ok. If you have telnet access:

Telnet to your nmt and go to /share/Apps/oversight (or whereever your oversight is)

run the following commands:
Code:
./install.sh NMT_UNINSTALL_WS Oversight
This will remove the current Oversight link.

To add your new link:
Code:
./install.sh NMT_INSTALL_WS Oversight '<url>'
ie
Code:
./install.sh NMT_INSTALL_WS Oversight 'http://127.0.0.1:8883/oversight/oversight.cgi?_G=Comedy&_tf=M&p=0&s=_T'

This should do it for you (worked for me Smile )

RE: Oversight Jukebox V20091031-3b (scan fix for USA/Canada users)
I have my files in share/Video/TV and share/Video/TV. Last night NZBGet downloaded Being Erica 1-7.
The files were put in share/TV/Being Erica - Season 2.
This morning Oversight had catalogued them.
I then moved the files into share/Video/TV/Being Erica/season 2 via the PC.
Oversight still shows 'Scanning' (and has done for 24 hours) but after some hours when I click on the episode in Oversight I get 'Can't Play'.
How do I stop the scan and get Oversight to re-scan and recognise the new location of the files?

RE: Oversight Jukebox V20091031-3b (scan fix for USA/Canada users)
Hi Lordy,

First af all thanx for the good work. I recently reïnstalled my PCH A-110. I installed NZBGet, Feedtime and Oversight (in that order). All seems to work fine except for Oversight. Yes oversight lists and renames my movie and TV series downloads but some other functions do not work as before.

1. In the mainscreen i get to see no movieposters end there is no fanart also. I see the standard icons for TV shows and Movies.

2. I do not see the 1080 modes and 1080 postermodes in my config screen. I tried the "Alt" template and the "default" template. It says TV Mode: 6 at the bottom of the config screen

RE: Oversight Jukebox V20091031-3b (scan fix for USA/Canada users)
Hi Lordy,

Have been testing and found the problem.
When the file: VTS_01_0.VOB is missing in the VIDEO_TS folder it isn't storing the movie.

But without a VTS_01_0.VOB file the movie still works. The file VTS_01_0.VOB is usually a menu file.

Can you fix this that also without the file VTS_01_0.VOB, Oversight will store the movie.

Thanks

For anyone interrested: The upcoming new version of CSI will bypass the google http server quircks and will allow you to upgrade via CSI again.
Soon to be released, keep watching the CSI topics. (technical details: google http server doesn't support HEAD request).

Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer

RE: Oversight Jukebox V20091031-3b (scan fix for USA/Canada users)
Hi Lordy

I've been testing OverSight again, 20091030-1beta version installed from the zip-file via CSI. Installation was very smooth this time, none of the other issues that I noticed a couple of weeks ago was there now, apart from the /share/tmp/oversight/ (empty dir) left after installation. Is it actually needed as a temp folder for processing poster pictures etc?

Anyway, scanning took just a couple of minutes which seems accurate given the few amount of movies and TV shows I have on the disk.

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.

Hi,

Thanks for the fantasic jukebox!

I have a problem with TV shows though, they used to all show up but I don't know if it's something I;ve done or an issue in the latest version but none of them show up any more. Looking in the log I can see lots of:

'Ignore path /share/Video/TV/Downloaded/Family Guy/Season 4' etc.

Any ideas?

@Rich-UK check your ignore_paths in the config.

I know by default it ignores */Download so possibly that is it?

addendum: I've just checked. That would indeed be the issue as it certainly blocks for me when I did a test.

If I would you I'd think about changing your download dir to something else but adding a / on the end of the above ignore_path worked on my machine.

Seems this thread is much busier than any over on the Usenet forum, so I was wondering if any of you guys have had the same problem some of us have been suffering from:

http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid283131

It keeps happening and stops the files from being verified/extracted Sad I've tried fresh formatting, reinstalling NZBGet / Oversight etc, but meh. The "operation not permitted" is usually cured with a reboot, but after a couple of NZB extracts it'll rear its ugly head again.
