llink help on mac not sure what to change

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie at PCH and I am really trying to set up llink on my mac. I found this thread , but I am still confused what to change in the textedit file.

Can someone please please help me.... I am really trying hard to get this thing working

I dont think the image posted right... but is there anyone that will accept an email of a screenshot of my finder window to help me change what I need to change in text edit?

Open the llink.conf file into Textedit, scroll to the bottom where it has ROOT|path= lines, and change it to your path, if you have more than one you want to share, add a ROOT line for each path.

I realized that llink application does not open on my PowerPC G5 Mac, but it opens fine on my intel mac. I thought llink was universal. If you dont mind, can I would like to email you the screenshot so you can walk me through this. What is your email address?

It is supposed to be Universal, but we have found that the PPC build on Intel does not entirely seem correct. The last PPC user just built his own, which I can talk you through. Or, if someone sends me a working PPC, I can put it into the UB version. I suspect it is because my OsX is 10.6 and the PPC builds are "too new".

I had to build my own with Terminal instructions from you lundman.

Here's what I did...

Compiled on Mac G4 / OS X 10.4.11

In the llink/Contents/Resources folder I renamed the original llink to "Intel_Mac_llink".
I added my compiled llink binary, renamed to "PPC_Mac_llink".
Then I created a symbolic link named "llink" pointing to "PPC_Mac_llink".

This means for Intel Mac users, they just need to delete the symlink and make their own symlink pointing to "Intel_Mac_llink".

The llink.conf file is original as supplied by Lundman, so you need to make changes for your system.
