Jukebox for NAS?

Hi all.

Is there a Jukebox like YAMJ or imyhome etc that will run on a NAS? Trying to get something with the DVD movie covers on the screen to choose the movie, moveflow I think its called. BUT without having a PC turned on (trying to save power)

Currently running a QNAP-209 NAS and HDX-1000 with hard drive in it.

Hello DannagE,

Movie Flow only requires the PC to Setup the actual Movie Flow.
Movie Flow it self can run on the pch can be stored on the NAS ...

Thats How I do it and I wrote Movie Flow ...

Once you have Movie Flow built ... you can turn off the pc ...

Well, you could probably install Debian and then Java on the NMT (search the forums for a howto) so that it could run YAMJ. I'm checking out if I can get it to compile with gcj -- if so, we could probably do a native build for the NMT, and you could compile for whatever platform your NAS uses if you'd rather do that.

You can run MLMJ directly from a NAS also - i run it from my ReadyNAS NV+ with no issues...

I use llink and a batch script on my NAS to update jukebox info for these kind of skins; no PC involved at all.
(... apart from a telnet/SSH session every now and then )
