I tried to install btpd with csi but it seems that i cant do it.

The adress "http://nmt:9999/BTPD_web/" it gives me the following error
"btpd socket not found". The same for gaya.

I have an egreat m31b with the latest 201 firmware

It doesnt have the gasgle feature, if that maters. And also i have a fourth ntfs partition on my internal disk.

Other applications as telnetd or ntfs3g are functional

My bad, please install again. Had made a change without testing it first.

Thank you for your quick responce

Also It seems that there is another small cosmetic glitch in web interface

The calculation for the disk usage / free it is not acurate, because it calculates perhaps the whole disk and not the spesific partition.

As i told in mmy previous message, I have four partitions in my internal disk, with the last partition as ntfs. I am downloading on the ext3 partition which is the third. Perhaps the web interface calculate the space for the last disk partition and not the space where is the application or where you downloading.

The web interface is make by Shurup, I donno if he is monitoring this topic. Could you contact him directly?

RE: [btpd] BTPD 0.15 - Lightweight and Fast Bittorrent
I'll try to find him and send him a private message. Is that what you suggest?

Also what service i must have running in order to install and start btpd. It seems that it needs ftp service. Can i Install it to start with samba perhaps.

The same "problem" is also with other applications that i try.

Is there a posibility in CSI to tell us what service we must have enabled? Or even better to ask as about the service to use.

Thanks again

RE: [btpd] BTPD 0.15 - Lightweight and Fast Bittorrent
Hi Ger, I have a problem with the downloaded torrents. I think something is wrong with the folder permissions (lots of people have this issue it seems) since I can't move the downloaded files out of the /Download folder into another folder, unless I do a reboot. Needless to say, that is a bit annoying. I don't have the Casgle client running or anything, plus I have the latest BTPD version installed with the CSI, and removed the torrent from the webinterface so it shouldn't be active.

Is there anything we can do to help you fix this?

That is weird. Via what interface are you moving the files?
Using "smb" / file sharing or via the NMT's interface itself?

Are you able to move files? And what about folders?
Is it reproducible with new downloads (no continue) as well?

I've tried to cut and paste a folder on a windows xp computer (just a regular network shared folder) from the /share/Download to /share/Video, I haven't tried it using the popcorn menu itself. I did try it using the File Manager 1.0.4 but it didn't work (I could cut, but the 'paste' option was greyed out).

I haven't tried to move the file itself, because I needed to move the whole folder. It is reproducable as I've had this problem with all torrents so far.

RE: [btpd] BTPD 0.15 - Lightweight and Fast Bittorrent
Dear Community of the NMT Owners,

I have getting problem when I want to start the BTPD program on my Popcorn Hour. I tried to reach the BTPD on the web addres what I saw on the instruction when the installation has been finished. I did do every steps what I saw in those instructions. First of all I thought I'm not enough smart to solve this problem. But when I uninstalled BTPD and install Transmission I have got the same problem when I wanted to start this program on the NMT A-100, but the difference is the Transmission was reachable on the webaddress.
So please tell me somebody what shoul I do in this case.
I would be apperiacted for your answers!

RE: [btpd] BTPD 0.15 - Lightweight and Fast Bittorrent
Hi,

I'm using BTDP and when I upload the file it is going great, only the upload is often far better than the download (dl 150kb, upl 350kb)

Also I want to use the torrent app from DAX. So you can download torrent files by only using youre PCH. But when I click the link to the torrent file, it is automaticly picked up by the standard torrent client.

How can I let BTPD pick up the .torrent files?

Thanks
Sattertje

RE: [btpd] BTPD 0.15 - Lightweight and Fast Bittorrent
I've also noticed an inability to move directories created by BTPD - no amount of chown and chmod commands seems to help. I haven't tried rebooting, as mentioned above, to see if this clears some kind of lock. If it is something like this I'm out of my depth Big Grin

I'm not sure if its only where a dir is created with files inside it, or also when files are created at the top level of the download location - I haven't noticed it on individual files - but I can certainly consistently reproduce it with torrents that contain multiple files and a directory to put them in.

RE: [btpd] BTPD 0.15 - Lightweight and Fast Bittorrent
As there are a few posts about unraring after download - can someone tell me what the current state of play is with triggering some sort of script on completion? either for this or transmission? What I'm ideally after is some way of simulating the 'move to another folder after completion' that uTorrent has - I'd like to either give the files a different extension (like the utorrent !ut suffix) or download them into a hidden folder, and then have them renamed or moved when complete - so they only appear in gaya when they're ready to watch. I figured a 'moving' script would be the easiest way of changing this, but then would you need to stop, and then subsequently reverify the torrent?
