[MUSIC] Music Jukebox 6 - Flac IDtag issue for Genre and year

I just got my HDX1000 and have got the current Music Jukebox running with the RutabagaMusic skin.

All files load in FLAC format (1.2.1)
from dbPoweramp CD Ripper.

Everything works OK, but Genres and Years are all 'No Genre' and no Year'.

I've tried forcing ID tags for FLAC using the tags
<ID3FLAC>True</ID3FLAC>
<ID3OVERRIDE>4</ID3OVERRIDE>

but no luck.

Any quick way to gt the output of a sample file from the UltraID3Lib either directly or from the debug.xml.

Tags show fine in other programs such as MediaMonkey.

Any ideas?

I also just took a look at one of the nfo files that is generated.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ROOT>
<GENRE>No Genre</GENRE>
<ALBUM>Carrying On</ALBUM>
<ARTIST>Montgomery Gentry</ARTIST>
<SORTAS>Montgomery Gentry</SORTAS>
<YEAR>0</YEAR>
</ROOT>

The ID tag extraction is definately not working right for me for some reason.

I'm going to try it on an MP3 and WMA file next.

The developer has stated that he needs a .NET library to parse out the FLAC tags (which are Orbis format). If he can find one then it will work but until then FLAC tags not working are a known bug.

What's the best way to get ahold of the developer?

There seem to be several .NET flac libraries available such as:

May not fit the bill but might be worth a shot.

Until then, is does anyone know of a Music Jukebox builder that
can read FLAC tags?

The developer is wandidj and I suppose the best way to get in touch with him would be via PM. Look at the first post in the main Music Jukebox thread. He also does a fantastic job of replying to questions posted in that thread.

As far as I know Music Jukebox 6 is the only music jukebox for the PCH.
