RE: MediatankController for iPhone - Experimental!
Forgive me, as I'm not nearly as technical as I'd like to be - but will this let me control playback of files stored locally (on the PCH's internal HDD*) as well as remotely (on the network share on my Windows PC)?
*That's the other issue, I don't currently have an internal drive. I saw someone mention that a USB HDD would work - would a USB flash drive work as well, on the off chance? I can't wait to mess around with this when I have some free time. If this can control playback of files on my home network, it would be a godsend - no more clicking around the PCH's interface. VVV Unbelievable! Can't wait to try it out. |

RE: MediatankController for iPhone - Experimental!
New version!
Changes: - It is now possible to browse to USB drives - It is now possible to browse to network shares (as long as they are added on the configuration screen of the NMT) - Files larger than 2Gb are now also shown (also caused problems for ISO's) BTW, It is possible to run this version from an USB stick. Just place the controller directory in the root of the USB stick and go to the following URL on your iPhone: Code: http://IP.OF.YOUR.NMT:8088/stream/file=/opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/USB_DRIVE_A-1/controller/index.phpmediatankcontroller.com: the home of MediatankController 1.0 for Adobe AIR and MediatankController 1.0 for iPhone and iPod Touch. |

If I don't need telnet, I'm just getting a 404 and am not sure what I'm doing wrong. BTW I'm in the same boat as others - this is a great idea, and something I've been looking for. |

You don't need telnet, but you do need the NMT apps installed on your machine. And for that you need an internal hard drive. mediatankcontroller.com: the home of MediatankController 1.0 for Adobe AIR and MediatankController 1.0 for iPhone and iPod Touch. |

RE: MediatankController for iPhone - Experimental!
Yes, just got to try it.
I wasn't aware there was a limitation of 2gb for files, ALL my files were aboive that. The reason it managed to show files I was sending, obviously, was because they were under 2gb at the time. New version works like a charm, can't thank you enough. The wife told me it's spooky how all my gadgets interact when I showed her. lol.

RE: MediatankController for iPhone - Experimental!
This project is great.
Question, how do I play multiple files? I.e., I'm trying to use this to play music without having to turn on my TV. |

Is there a way to sort the files alphabetically, by chance?

RE: MediatankController for iPhone - Experimental!
I really like this.
for playing music without the tv it is great. But why making it for the iphone? It is a browser related programm, it is also working in Oprha but have some problemes to go back to privious. I have a WM phone. Could you make it more standard so it is Cross browser. |
