myiHome v4.9 for Windows released

Dear customers,

Syabas CE-HTML server for PC, myiHomePC v4.9 is released.

Release notes:

1. Fixed photo slideshow issue with huge photos library.
2. Supported flac, ogg and evo video and audio format extension.
3. Allows theme selection. Step to add theme :

a. Goto /webapps/ROOT/theme folder.
b. The theme folder contains deepblue(for SD) and
deepblue-1280x720(for HD) folder.
c. Copy new theme to the folder and the new theme folder
structure should follow like deepblue and deepblue-1280x720
folder structure
note : at your new theme folder you can change the images and
icon inside the folder
d. goto PC App, at theme selection drop down list will show the
new theme folder name
note : if select the new theme, the UI will only change on TV.
4. Automatically switch the media category when press media button
at remote control. (Red button - video, Green button - music and
Yellow button - photo)

myiHome v4.9 for Mac and for Linux is current in QA and will be
released one it passes.

Possible bug: when quitting the program, if I unchek the option 'Streaming server running in the background' the application keeps running and the cpu usage goes to 100% all the time. You have to 'kill' it manually.

I just tried myiHome 4.9 with my PC here and didn't encounter such problem. Did you stream the video from myiHome while closing the server? What is your PC specification?

Tested in two computers, both with WinXP Pro. Same behaviour if I'm streaming (PCH-A100 on) or not (PCH-A100 shut-off)

This problem didn't show with version 4.7.

Same for me, using win 2000 pro, If I shut it down it still is in memory but does not appear in taskbar, takes up 50% of cpu on a core2 duo.

Does the theme know what you are playing on?

EX:

in the dropdown for themes, there is only the Deep Blue, and not the HD one.


If that's it, I don't really see a difference in the theme at all.

Or am I just mislead in thinking the new theme if for Popcorn Hour when you use myihome?

Hi,
Are you sure that when you exiting the myiHome and uncheck the "server running at background" checkbox? When exiting myiHome it should be uncheck that checkbox to totally exit all of the myiHome server process.

Yes I do that. But now I have tested on my Windows XP home pc and there it does not happen! Only on my work laptop with W2k.

Well, tested again and now it seems to work fine. I did a cold boot, maybe that was the cause.

Now that there is themes support is there going to be a forum dedicated to theme creation? Or at least a guide so people can get started
