Where is the sourcecode?
Hey,

I just saw a amayzing video review of the Popcorn Hour A-100.
I must say that i'm impressed! I know linux can play nearly all file formats (with ffmpeg) but didnt know that there where linux media boxes out there.

Now i saw the interface and would like to be able to tweak it so that's why i'm wondering where the source code is.

So.. where is it?

Also in the (video) review i heard the ammount of watts that's being used (which is 15) now i wonder if that's standby usage, play usage or avarage usage?

so:
What's the standby usage?
What's the "in use" usage?

Thanx so far,
Mark

Hi Mark

By searching this forum you'll find some user measurements of the power consumptions in different states. It's pretty low by default, but if you insert a hdd it will of course increase by that.

And you'll probably be happy that there is telnet access. Look in the User Applications section or, again, search the forum and you'll find more info about that.

While you are searching (amazing feature!) you'll find that source code has not been published yet, and IIRC Sigma Design has something to do with it.

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.

Sorry, i really can't find it with the search. (make the switch to phpbb3 that has a way better search)

Yes, phpBB3 is nice and has a better search function, but I think you have to practise your search skills Wink

Using the search terms "GPL source code Sigma" I narrowed it down to 4 hits.

And "power consumption watts standby" (or something like that) gave me:

By the way, if you are new to the NMT/Popcorn Hour A-100 I recommend you a visit to the wiki (link above the forum).
