Can you install this from the hard drive? I have all my music on my hard drive and was wondering if it kind of worked like YAMJ.

I'm having a little trouble getting mpdjb to load via telnet into my egreat m34a. Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong? Here is the telnet screen:

Edit: It appears we are to change directory to "share", I don't have a share directory, should I create one, if so does it go in Apps like the mpd directory did?

/share is just the path to the nmt. so just do a cd /share and hit enter
then do you wget on the next line

My musik is located on internal harddisk called hard_disk in PH.
Is there somewhere in a config file i should do some settings telling where my "root" music folder is located.
All my music is offcourse in "music" folder.
Subfolders are: U2, Elvis Presley ect. In these folders i have the CD´s.
E.g. in the U2 folder i have folders: Achtung Baby, Boy, Zooropa ect.
Is this structure wrong?

Good night,

I have been looking for such a jukebox for a while, so i want to thank the developer.

I am having an issue, however, and i dont seem to be able to fix it.

Whenever i click on the photo icon (botom right) my music stops and the pictures start displaying.

I also use a photojukebox and if i try to play an album (slide show) the music stops as well.

I have the latest version of MPD i believe, the one from october 1st, and i couldnt find using the search engine anyone with my error.

Does anyone know how to fix it?? Thanks in advance.

Haven't used MPDJB for a while but was listening to some music thru it last night and for the life of me could not get it to populate the playlist, everytime I selected an album/song the playlist was emptied, the music that was playing stopped and the selected song started playing with only it showing up in now playing, funny thing is if I populated playlist with minion it worked as it should and showed up on screen.

It is pretty late here but I'm sure it never used to work this way

Well I found my issue, it had to do with the fact that i was using hdmi audio, i changed to analog audio and now i can do slideshows...

With the morning comes clarity, TITLE button

It would be good to use the enter button to add tracks to playlist and play button to play immediatly, don't know if its possible but seems abit more intuative to me.

AWSOME work by the why, much respect.

Other question, wich is the size that MPDJB uses to display album cover ?
If you are making PHP resize() over covers i can get some speed improvements if i resize larger covers to 500x500 for example ?
( i already have lighthttpd and ramdac = 1 )

How can i map PAGEUP and PAGEDOWN buttons from remote to volume++ and volume-- MPD commands ?
I checked the table you make reference on mpdjb.conf where i see

TVID/Corresponding Key
PGDN/The “PAGE UP” button
PGDN/The “PAGE DOWN” button

But to do the mapping on mpdjb.conf i need to know wath function to call, for example you have "mpdupdate = TAB"
Should i guess something like "mpc volume - 10 = PGDN" ?


Over the "HDMI Audio Init problem" is not possible to execute SIGMA player from MPDJB ?
Or have a startup script that the only thing he does is to play a 5second silence mp3 using regular player just to init HDMI ...


There is some kind of guide i can use to make a new skin ?
Can you explain me how you compile PHP scripts ?

There is a know problem about "HDMI Audio Init",
You need to play something with default audio player to force HDMI Audio Init and after that you can go to MPD/MPDJB and you will get normal sound ..

Thanks for your reply, I've tried this but it won't work.
I get:
Dec 06 13:14 : Error opening OSS device "/dev/dsp": No such device
Dec 06 13:14 : problems opening audio device while playing
Maybe you have other suggestions?

I've got a new issue that popped up and don't know if it was related to the new firmware update on the a-110.

If a reboot of the system happens (either by power outage or manually done because of lock up or such) MPDJB starts playing the last song played as soon as the PCH starts again. I then have to go into MPDJB stop the song, then can go to whatever else I wanted to do like watch a movie.

I like the idea of this jukebox but I think I need to wait until it is a little more mature and some of the issues worked out (the one mentioned above and the problem with audio still being sent over HDMI to TV istaed of just optical.)

What is the best way to remove MPDJB?
