Personally, I don't understand it... It looks like it'll be yet another missed release date. At the very least, why don't they announce the specs of the unit? Surely, the specs are finalized! Even if it's not truly available for sale yet, at least they would satisfy people. The super-secret-lets-not-say-anything trick is getting old. It just leaves a bad taste in the mount of their customers to keep promising details and never produce the goods...
How would releasing the specs of the unit hurt anybody, if the unit truly is almost ready? Are they THAT AFRAID of their competition?? It just doesn't make sense. You cannot keep saying the info will be released on a specific date and then say nothing. Once again, it's bad business! |

Its smart business. there customer base is hardcore people looking for the next best greatest thing. Like i said In another thread. If they release specs with no product in hand. The next company comes along and does better specs. So if syabas comes out and says it will have a 600mhz cpu, 100mbit network, full java support and coming soon. Then all the next company has do it is go Ok we have a 800mhz cpu. Full java and flash support and gigabit. coming soon. Then you just missed all the hardcore based people wanted the latest and greatest. If they announce specs and product the same day. The hardcore people are likely to buy it. Hehe on another note what i day for werner to call in sick =p And there has been no real public announcement of a release. Just what werner has said. And i dont mean to sound harsh but I dont think the word of an employee on a public forum is hardly a date set in stone. |
