MJB only checks MP3 files for ID3 tags. You can force it to check other file types by selecting option 'Check Non-MP3 Files for ID3 Tags' on the TAGS tab. It should then read your M4A files...

Hi Wandidj,

First thank you for MJB software, it really enhances the NMT.

Now my request: is it possible to add a setting to control in some way the quality of the small jpg image files generated during the process. For now their quality is really bad, artifacts due to the block compression are really visible, their file size is small: the jpeg compression is pushed high.
I investigated NMT image rendering and noticed there is no limit regarding the graphics file size so it could be nice to let the control to the user.

Hi,

Just noticed that the alphabetical sorting is missing something.

This is how it looks....when I sorted with letter 'C' (happens for all letters). Tried with both skins Default and RutabagaMusic and same result.

Good idea, I will see what is possible (using .NET GDI calls to resize, so we must have a few options to play with)...

Do you have 'Use Tags' option set to 'Use All Tag Info'? R7.2 has an issue with this when songs are tagged with multiple artists. I am fixing in 7.3.
If so, how does it look when you set 'Use Tags' down to 'For Song Info'?

Wandidj, I am having the same alphabetical order problems than eummagic and I am using the 'For Song Info' option in R7.2.

Sorry to ask again, but I know it is possible to use more than one setting for MJ i.E one for the PCH libery and one on the PC for testing or so
at the moment a rename the MusicJukebox.xml all the time but there is for sure a better way...
I'm sure I miss it somewhere in the readme but I cant find it anymore :/

and would it be possible to change the way MJ look for fanart? somthing like a token .fanart or so, so we can use artistname.fanart.jpg this would go nice with the cgi nowplaying page from jazzlightbeer I use in my skin :>

Create a shortcut to MusicJukebox.exe and add '-CFG=<path to second xml config file>' as a parameter...

Download 7.3 from the first post, I have the slideshows working now (previous versions were outputting an 'aod' and a 'pod' in the HREF). Also allow slideshows on the album playlists, and doing more checks reading the FLAC tags...

Grab 7.3 from the first post, it has the file format, bitrate and publisher data you were looking for. I will now get to work on the fanart thing...

I generate an XML file with each album (this is what the skin uses to generate the HTML). What does the SORT field show for one of the albums that is being mis-sorted? The SORT field is within the ALBUM element, should be close to the top, right after PREFERENCES. Also include the name of the album and artist...

Grab R7.3 from the first post. I have added artist name to the song title on albums with multiple artists (if you have USE TAGS set to USE ALL TAG INFO)...

-Slideshows finally work.
-Video files now work.
-Added ability to make album 'Play All' a slideshow.
-Added Thumbnail Quality setting.
-Added better checks for multiple-artist albums. These are now listed as artist 'Various' (user-definable).

Have installed 7.3.. Teething problem with the fact that not all of my album art was named "Folder.jpg" but batch commands fixed that ..

Slideshow works a treat (am using slide_default.jsp in the playlist directory) .. all albums (>400) now loaded and working fine .. FLAC tags appear fine (can now see song duration in the menu) ..

Given the success of this latest release I am going to get over my phobia of commitment and delete my V6.4 installation ..

Hi,
First of all, sorry for my poor english and thank you for MJB software, it's really a great job.
I've just installed the release 7.3 and it works almost fine for me.
My directory structure is :
MusicLibrary
ArtistName1
AlbumName1
...
...
I only use flac files and I use the Read Flac/Vorbis Tags option.
I have 2 little problems :
1/ when ArtistName is equal to AlbumName, the index pages don't display
AlbumName;
2/ for albums which contain multiple CDs, I place the music from each CD
into a separate folder named CD_x_CDxName within the Album Name
folder. MJB doesn't recognize the genre of the multiple CDs albums. It
displays a "NO GENRE" genre on index pages for these albums.
Moreover, it displays "AlbumName - CDxName" where x is the last CD of
multiple CDs album instead of only "AlbumName" on index pages.

I hope I was clear enough.

fileformat works fine, but I don't get any averagebitrate or publisher in the xml files :/

Just to get sure, here is a Picture what my tags look like.

I noticed in your image the ID3 tags are 2.4. I am using the UltraID3Lib library, which doesn't fully support ID3v24. Does the publisher and bitrate show up on any mp3 files that are ID3v22 or ID3v23?
