-On your NMT, create a network share named 'MyMusic' that connects to the shared folder on your PC. Once you make this, make sure you can play music by clicking a music file.
-On your PC, Map a network drive to your NMT. I will assume you use drive N: (for NMT). The network path will be \\[10.0.0.1]\share, replace [10.0.0.1] with the IP address of your NMT. The username is 'nmt' and the password is '1234' unless you changed it.
-Create new folder 'N:\musicmenu\'

Assuming the above...
Music Folder is 'D:\my music\CD's\
Output Folder is 'N:\musicmenu\'
Popcorn Hour Path to Music is 'NETWORK_SHARE/MyMusic'
Popcorn Hour Path to Menu is 'HARD_DISK/musicmenu'

My only album art is contained in the same folder as the mp3's as folder.jpg

Can I get that to display while the song is playing?

Also, I have deselected "make a backup when editing ID3 tags" yet it is still making a backup?? What have I missed?

Found an error reported earlier

Add Album Exception .. : Object reference not set to an instance of an object

This was caused due to some of my FLAC tags not having "artist" information in them ... added artist information in the offending tags using Abander Tag Control and fixed it ...

Problem is with .css stylesheets ... when I run with default skin the output uses dark blue text on the black background which is unreadable ... In MJ V6 I had a modified defaultskin.css that gave me correct colors ... I copied my modified version into the MJData/skins/default (renamed current version) and reran with brand new target directory but nothing changed ...

Any clues ?

Had to check "before generation, load skin config" .. problem fixed..

Now to figure out how to get your slideshow working with "play album" ..

The Popcorn Hour takes over control while the song is playing. It displays the cover art embedded within your MP3 files. You can turn on 'Automatically Embed Album Art if Missing' on the Album Art tab. It will embed folder.jpg into each MP3 file that doesn't have any album art. I would first make sure all your album covers are right before you do this, and it can be slow if you have a large collection, but this is what you need to do...

Nothing, that is all you should need to do. I will check out if you have found a bug. Until then, you can click the button 'Delete Backup Files' on the Detail Pages tab to get rid of all the .bak files in your music collection...

You have to force MJB to load the modified css file, either change to a different skin and back, or set the 'Reload Skin' option to before generation. Once you have generated once, and assuming no other changes to the skins files, you can set the Reload skin back to 'When selected', this will reduce the processing time by a couple of milliseconds...

OK...
PCH only displays JPEG images tagged as 'Cover Art'. MJB displays any images it can find. I have updated MJB to warn if an embedded image is not tagged as cover art. Are you able to use an app such as MP3Tag to see which tag the images are stored under (or you can wait for 7.3...)?

Just for the record ...

I was running both 6.4 and 7 at the same time while testing the new release.. This seemed to work OK with previous beta versions up until 7.2
Unfortunately I overwrote the output directory from 6.4 with last nights testing of v7.

Now when I try to start V6.4 to restore my old jukebox (which had the slideshow working) I get a windows message telling me
"Musicjukebox Release 6.4 has stopped working Windows is looking for a solution"

Looks like I am now commited to V7 ...

V7.3 for slideshow enhancements (like working with album playlist)?

could it be the images that work are 300x300 and the ones that don't are 320x320?

No, my images range from 200x20o up to 700x700 (and everything in between). It is either the image is not a JPEG, or not tagged as Cover Art (pretty sure, anyway)...

I am assuming that both versions had their own MusicJukebox.xml file. Rename the one in the 6.4 folder to something else, then start 6.4 again. You will have to enter your config again, but it should work... R6 and R7 have no problem coexisting.

However, sooner or later, you will have to commit. I know I have a couple of issues in 7.2, but there were a couple in 6.4 also.

Hi this maybe an obvious question, ive searched this thread for an answer but not got anywhere hope someone can help running mjb 7.2 and all works well apart from the track order mjb is listing tracks for an album alphabetically rather than by the order they appear on the album can anyone suggest how i can get the tracks in the right order? many thanks

No, good question...
MJB calculates track order by;
1 - if song names start with 2 digit number and 'Use Tags' option is set to 'Never' or 'Genre Only', that is assumed to be track number.
2 - If option 'Use Tags' is set to 'For Song Info' or 'Use All Tag Info', MJB will check the ID3 tag Track Number.
3 - As a last resort, MJB will sort songs alphabetically.

Thanks for the reply there maybe a problem with m4a files i have definately got track numbers encoded to id3 tag but jukebox is not recognising iam using mediamonkey to reorganise my music not sure if theres anything i can do
