Can't install NMT Apps on USB
i am not able to install the NMT apps on an usb stick. I have no internal hard-drive and am following this tutorial:

http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i..._USB_stick

The error i get is this:
Code:
# /etc/init_nmt start
SHAREROOT=/opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/HARD_DISK
Do chmod on /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/HARD_DISK ...
mkdir: cannot create directory '/share/Video': No such file or directory
chmod: /share/Video: No such file or directory
mkdir: cannot create directory '/share/Music': No such file or directory
chmod: /share/Music: No such file or directory
mkdir: cannot create directory '/share/Photo': No such file or directory
chmod: /share/Photo: No such file or directory
/etc/init_nmt: line 246: cannot create /mnt/syb8634/server/php5server/httpd_inc.conf: nonexistent directory
/
/ #

I'm using a FAT formatted usb-stick

Anyone an idea?

RE: Can't install NMT Apps from USB
you cant use a FAT formatted usb stick, it has to be formatted as EXT3 or vFat (Linux FAT)

Its described in the very first line of the wiki you link to Wink

Quote:1. Create and format an ext3 partition on a USB hard disk drive or you can just use a pre-formmated vfat USB flash drive

Kids room: C200/A110 HDMI to Panasonic 42PZ85, Optical to Logitech Z5500.

no, not the same, vFat are the Linux variant, and since the NMT apps are a Linux installation the NMT require a Linux partiion to write to. I recommend creating an Ext3 partition manually before trying to install.
