A-110: external Bluray player
Will the A-110 support a Bluray player via USB or via the Lan network in future? I do have tried to search the answer but couldn't find it.

RE: A-110: external Bluray player
Nope. The A-110/100 will NEVER support playing the blue-ray structure.

"Never say never"
![]() I'd honestly be surprised if anyone was able to make it work, but it's possible that at some point in the future someone could figure out some workaround... It's safe to say that it won't be officially supported, however. Use an external SATA enclosure with the eGreat M34a | keypress - ir remote key emulation on command line |

RE: A-110: external Bluray player
llink has basic BD and HD-DVD playback:
* UDF 2.50 BD5-ISO support: provides basic playback of Bluray and HD-DVD. There's no fancy titles, but I think you should be able to mount the disc and play the file. Not sure about encrypted retail discs, though. I'd think not, but I have no attachable BD-Rom yet to test with. The llink-nmt version is available in the CSI (nmtinstaller.com). Let us know how it works out if you decide to test it. Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn. Wiki. Wiki? Wiki! |

Hell yeah ![]() Ive modded almost everything i own and i was the one that cracked the PSone console first in the world by just exchanging the Bios with a Chip lockout on the Bios to an old bios from the first Playstation 1 consoles that hit the market ( had lots of dead modbos lying around ) Just by trail and error i managed to desolder the bios with our hor air units and pop on a old one ![]() After that i got Bootlegged discs to boot with a ( Low serial Bios trick ) and then i probed the darn sucker and soldered a 4wire chip in then we began to write a chip that ovverides the BIOS by soldeing on two wires on it ![]() Good times.. But i got this from PCH support: Quote:PCH A-100 and A-110 chipset would not support BluRay player plug-in via USB. The only PCH product support BluRay drive plug-in is C-200. And my PCH that didn´t give sound via HDMI was exchanged and the new one with an older FW sounds great ![]() Still i have some days on me left to return it and a C200 would be a mouch better toy for me now i think when i know that the A-110 and my Samsung 55" LED communicates okay. ![]() I was thinking of modding some DVD tray so i can fit two Slimline BluRay units and attatch a Switch on it so i can install a US BluRay player and a Sewdish Europeand BluRay player enablng me to watch A + B Regions or what the heck its called A dream would be ABC Regions but hey

RE: A-110: external Bluray player
Haha very nice Pendragon. But i think it must be possible. It is also possible to watch dvd's when you have an dvd in you dvd player and then share your dvd player with other computers in the network.
The same has to be with blu-ray but then you need an blu-ray reader (writer) and you need the programm anydvd because that (no freeware) programm can encrypt the blu-ray and dvd's so you can watch official blu-raydisc and dvds. |

RE: A-110: external Bluray player
I do not think that there will be any need for different BD ROM's for different regions.
![]() You need a BD license which currently only the C200 has to play BD with menus/full features. Plus 1Gb of space for BD live and extra RAM and cpu power that the 8644 chip brings. Again only in the C200. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: A-110: external Bluray player
Yeah i think you are right... The problem is that de A-110 and the HDX-1000 don't have jave support so they can never support blu-ray menu's.

Im thinking of returning my A110 and gettign a C200 instead but PCH.com supportcant give me a streetdate so i don´t know if its worth it for me. |
