Hi all,

because some Users already received there Units and because that units has an really old firmware installed, we decided to release an Public BETA Firmware and Apps, please see it as BETA and not as final, but it is much better then the current one which is on your device, the final firmware which is 2 Versions higher then this is currently in QA Testing and should get released next week.
So here we go now.

please download this package and follow then the instructions!!!!

1.) extract thecontent of the zip file into the root of a USB Thumbdrive!
2.) connect the USB Drive to one of the USB's on the C-200
2.) open the usbupdate.html on the C-200 and install the firmware
3.) Player reboots
4.) If you need the NMT Apps then please go to Setup => Maintenance and start the NMT Setup Wizard
5.) when asking for Setup Source then choose USB
6.) after rebooting you should be on latest Firmware and Apss

   - Fixed Audio CD cannot playback through internal SATA drive

   - Fixed aspect ratio (Actual Size) persistent to next play item
   - Changed the sequence of zoom menu (Zooming->Panning->Scaling)
   - mp3 detection/estimation of total time, extra handling to parse Xing header (not 100% accurate)
   - Fixed subtitle off/on not working with TS.
   - m4a audio-only files seek->pause issue fixed
   - Added 2 sec timeout to minimise appearance of buffering screen.
   - bug fix for buffering screen did not turn off after playback start
   - Modified the zoom/pan menu in order Scaling, Zooming and Panning.
   - Fixed DTS-HD, DD+ downmix (core only) and bitstream (core only) output
   - Estimate total time for TS clips
   - Enable time seek/percentage seek/+-30sec skip for TS playback
   - Interval before rendering "buffering screen" changed to 4sec
   - Fixed LPB playback, FF will fall back to 2x when 8x and 16x not supported,
     instead of showing "!"

   - Workaround to show track number on audio track change for LPB,

4. Photo app
   - Sync photo zoom menu sequence with video zoom menu
   - rotate icon has been replaced with text.  
   - Use abbreviation for front panel showing of photo date month
   - Fixed a bug where after stopping photo playlist with some settings changes,
     will cause player to black-out for a few seconds before coming back to browser (SVN R961)
   - Fixed Flickr playlist hung after a few hours playback (SVN R961)
   - Fixed memory leak and crashes during long hours photo slideshow
   - Fixed wrong color for BMP with 32bit depth
   - Fixed an issue where if system starts up in SD mode then change to HD, the
     slideshow photos may be cropped
   - Consistent with A100, changing repeat mode, transition, interval on the fly will
     not be saved persistently (Bug #5000027)
5. OSD
   - OSD, audio time seek (new component) supported.
   - Fixed wrong arrow indication for pan menu when min/max reached
   - hide bottom info bar if it is time seek
   - Step menu, menu pane will be resized according to the number of info available.

as it says when you need the core they are workinyg now over hdmi, this is if you have an older Receiver which doesnt support HD Audio

So just to check...

If I have a file that only has an HD audio track, if I don't have a receiver that can decode the C-200 can extract the core of the HD track and use it?

Wonderful, so we can expect all HD audio to work in bitstream, as it was in A/B-110 after all. Good to know!
Another question that's a bit off topic, but I think it could be interesting: can you give us a rough estimate of loading time for BD disc with AACS (i.e. commercial discs) and BD ISO images off a network (which "theoretically" shouldn't work )?
